Noise---beyond an acceptable level!
The final night of our stay, a large number of parents/children who were involved in a soccer tounament were very disturbing in the lobby area (playing ball in front of the fountain, running around unattended, etc). Even the parents were in the bar at 11:30pm and quite noisy which woke me up from a sound sleep. I did call the front desk at 9:30pm and was told security was trying to find parents to address the kids who were playing and obviously not supervised. I did not call at 11:30 as security should have addressed the noise in the open space---it could not have been ignored!!

Great Stay
A friend and I stayed at the Marriott for my daughter’s graduation from college. It was a wonderful stay! The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant served great breakfast at a reasonable price. The waitstaff was attentive and had a great sense of humor as well. I highly recommend this hotel.

Needs a little update.
The hotel has aged well but needs some updates to compare to best properties.I had to go to the front desk to remind them to make up the room late in the afternoon.Not much connection to the guest compared with the operator before Marriot took over.

Good Business Hotel
Hotel was a little dated but my room was large and clean. Concierge Suite was great for a light dinner and breakfast.

Ask to be on the 7th floor so you’ll get access to the concierge suite for free food and drinks.

Met Our Needs Perfectly
I was with my 18 year old son on a college visit. The hotel was exactly what we needed after a long drive. Very comfortable! Watched some pay movies and ordered room service (which was fast and delicious!), and generally lounged around our room for the evening and early morning the next day. The only down side was that it wasn’t in the downtown area, so it wasn’t convenient to look around there.

Great Place to Stay in Cedar Rapids
I found the hotel to be extremely well run. I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was convenient to the activities I attended. It had shopping and other restaurants close by. I would recommend it to other travelers.

Good Staff in a bad situation
I stayed at this hotel in the middle of a terrible ice storm. The staff was pleasant and helpful as best as they could be. There were buckets on the floor to catch leaks from the ceiling right outside my door, which was not fun to navigate past. And because of the storm, they were understaffed and did not have their typical breakfast available on one of the mornings. But the staff that was available did their best to make up for it.

Very Quiet and Comfortable
I was apprehensive when I saw my room was the first door off the elevators. I was sure it would be loud and hard to sleep. However, once inside the room, I never heard a peep. The room was very comfortable, although a little cold for me. They do not light the boilers for heat until it is 65 degrees or cooler outside. Coming from the low 100s of Phoenix, that 68 degrees felt quite cold. Maintenance was friendly enough to relight the boiler manually for me.

Can hardly check email
We opted for this hotel as a place for my husband to work during the day during a family trip. Unfortunately, the internet connection was so poor, he was unable to download email for the entire week. For me, I was able to use hotmail one time in the room. The rest of the time it wouldn’t work. Even in the business center, I had to "refresh" every other page- quite slow and tedious. Otherwise the staff were friendly and helpful. The kids really enjoyed the pool.

American Skillet --great breakfast place! Particularly loved the hand-painted mural of the USA. Lovely atmosphere, great food.
