What to expect: The Quincy offers a convenient location at the edge of Foggy Bottom, a historic neighborhood of government offices, major arts venues such as the Kennedy Center, and upscale apartments. Here, too, is the sprawling campus of George Washington University. The hotel’s small, modern lobby is a welcoming space, with warm lighting, fresh orchids, and complimentary wireless Internet access. At the far end, a white door opens to an Irish restaurant and pub with plenty of dim corner booths to duck into anytime for classic bar cuisine or Irish ale after work.
Amenity highlights: Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in the Quincy’s lobby and business center. Guests also enjoy complimentary access to Bally Total Fitness, two blocks away. Small pets are permitted in some suites (surcharge).
Insider tip:The Quincy is a great starting point for exploring Washington. The White House and National Mall are within walking distance (6 and 9 blocks, respectively). For a true local experience, head north for several blocks to Dupont Circle, a lively urban neighborhood with restaurants, bookshops, and gorgeous old brownstones. A bit farther north on 18th Street (a cab ride back to the hotel) is the Adams-Morgan neighborhood, known for its nightlife and excellent Ethiopian restaurants.
