Great Hotel and Close to Airport

The hotel and service were great, except in the Japanese restaurant. Prices were very high and, if you weren’t sitting at the chef tables, the service wasn’t very attentive. We’ve eaten a lot of sushi and this was certainly not great quality for the price. I’d spend the extra 20 min to go into town.

Hotel was very good but it was the worst breakfast ever. The hot choices - bacon, sausage etc were cold and half the dishes were not filled up. No chef there to ask for fried eggs. Coffee luke warm. The hot water used for making tea was also cool. Someone needs to take a look at this as most hotels offer a decent if not good breakfast service. A big let down and I would probably stay somewhere else next time just because of the breakfast.

Not bad

Restaurant completely overwhelmed though not completely full. We ate in bar area and were nicely served after a time. Food was fine and the waitress was good, but this seems a weak link in an otherwise fine hotel.

underwhelmed

The hotels convenience to the airport and complementary buses to and from the hotel to the airport made our stay worthwhile. We were underwhelmed by the hotel itself. Our room was large, okay view but the room was a little on the shabby side. The couch was stained and our towels were old and quite frayed, for example. We had to pay for Internet access. Outside of the bar and restaurants, there wasn’t much else at the hotel. We went looking for postcards of Geneva and some snacks and nothing was open at 5:30 pm.

Clean and Comfortable

We only stayed one night to catch a flight the next morning, but staff was very friendly and helpful in directing us to restaurants in the city. Room was wonderful!

Nice but expensive

Like the rest of Geneva, this hotel is very expensive. But the service was excellent and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were small but comfortable.

Convenient to Airport

Closest hotel to airport. Nice accommodations, helpful staff, and access to casino. Nice way to exit Switzerland.

Mixed Experience

The location is great if you’re coming or going from the airport, and the shuttle service is excellent and efficient. Check-in was also very efficient, and the hotel staff gladly spoke English. Our room was clean and quiet. Unfortunately, the air conditioner didn’t work for part of our stay and there was no way to open a window. Management did bring a portable fan to our room when we called to report the problem, and the A/C was fixed late in the evening. The desk took up a good part of the floor space, and would have been great if we had needed one. As it was, however, the desk made the room a bit awkward for those of us dealing with luggage. The strangest part about our room was the floor - the carpet was extremely lumpy, which made the floor uncomfortable to walk on. Very odd in a four star hotel. My husband and I ate in the hotel restaurant, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The restaurant was warm (no A/C again) and the service was extremely poor. Our server seemed flustered and overwhelmed, even though she didn’t seem to have very many tables to cover. When it finally arrived, the food was adequate but nothing spectacular. When the meal was done, we were glad to escape after being trapped in the uncomfortably warm restaurant for approximately 3 hours. In the future, I will look for somewhere else to stay when I need to be near the airport in Geneva.

Close to airport

Nice hotel, The food at the hotel is overpriced. Big rooms, staff is friendly. If you are just needing a night before your flight the next day, you may shop around. However, they do have a shuttle that starts at 530am, which was very helpful.

Stayed there one night - short stay but the room was quite tidy and clean, and even well-designed efficiently. The bar and restaurant also good - hotel transfer between airport was convenient.

Great convenience!

The hotel is located very near the airport and has a frequent complimentary shuttle. Although the location is not near the lake, a free pass for public transportation allows you to travel at no charge. The train is a few minutes into the city. The service is good. I arrived at 8.30 in the morning, and the staff let me have my room, anyway. The gym inside the hotel building is excellent. It has lots of cardio equipment and all types of aerobic classes and weights. It is a real gym.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Ask for your free transport card. Take the quick shuttle to the airport and ride the train into town within a few minutes. All is free and much less than the 25 dollar taxi ride.

Just overnight

Stayed at Movenpick overnight to make sure I would be on time for flight from Geneva in the morning. The four star rating is well deserved and service was impeccable. Airport shuttle was on time and simple to find. Only glitch was that the Internet access was down for entire building except for PCs in lobby.

one of the best airport hotels in the world

This hotel is one of the best airport hotels in the world. The restaurants, especially the Japanese restaurant downstairs, are fantastic, there is a very good gym next door guests can use for free and the rooms are clean, pleasant and tasteful. If there was one sour note it was that they did not provide the requested wake-up call, but I always have an alarm clock. There is an efficient shuttle to the airport. Highly recommended.
