Will never go back
Checked into hotel, went to room, and it smelled of cat urine. Changed rooms....same smell. Would not recommend this hotel.

Average experience
Our stay at Howard Johnson was very average. The perks were a continental breakfast that offered a couple of hot items too and they allowed you to fill coolers with ice in the lobby. The pool is also open until 11, which is good because Branson is an early to close up town, with minimal activities available at night. Downsides were no WiFi in the rooms, a TV with minimal channels and a constant buzzing noise, and finding a pair of someone elses lingerie in the room. Hotel staff were very apologetic, but it was disconcerting at best to find something like this.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
We couldnt find ANY shows that started past 730 or 8. No one told us about the fountains at the Landing, so we didnt ever go down there. In hind sight I definitely wish we would have went to see the fountains, shopping, and night life there.
