Connecticut in the Fall

Wish I knew

The hotel was conveniently located which is why we choose it. I noticed a smell in our room and could not figure out what it was. The room seemed to have been closed up for quite some time. It took awhile for the air conditioning to work and to get the room to a comfortable temperature. I could not figure out why the first morning 3 of us woke up sneezing. It was not until the 2nd morning when allergies were bad that I realized what it was. When we got on the elevator to leave, 2 guests had large dogs with them. When we got outside there was another guest with a dog. We found out that the hotel allowed pets for an additional charge. We should have been asked if we wanted a "pet free" room.

Good hotel at an extremely reasonable price

Traveling with a 5, 7, and 9 year old can be challenging but the hotel staff were great. There were several weddings at the time and our 2nd floor ice machine kept running out but when I called the front desk and explained I had the kids they brought up a bucket of ice for us - twice! The restaurant had very good food and the waiter made us laugh continually and feel very welcome. Room service has a great selection and they guarantee delivery within 30 minutes or it’s free. Checking in early and checking out late was a breeze - all we had to do was ask. Room had no view but we didn’t mind we used it to relax and rejuvenate for our next adventure. The hotel is on a busy road but there is sidewalk all along it so we would walk at night to unwind. There is any type of food you could want nearby from 4 star to fast food. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. A small refrigerator in the room would have been useful for leftovers and drinks we brought from home and a small table instead of an extra sitting chair would have been easier than trying to eat room service on the beds. Other than that a very enjoyable stay for all of us.

Very close to many attractions for adults and children. Without traveling more than 20 minutes we went to South Salem, NY to the Wolf Conservation Center, the Beardsley Zoo (with free passes from our local library), the Maritime Aquarium, Sherwood Island ($10 parking but exploring the mile long beach with the kids was priceless) and a ferry ride to Sheffield Island lighthouse. From the top we could see the skyline of Manhattan across the Long Island Sound.

Sheraton Four Points Norwalk

Very nice property with good services and amenities. Asked for and would have prefered on queen or king bed instead of two doubles, but otherwise extremely satisfied.

Norwalk best hotel

Clean and cozy little hotel

Half mile up the main road have a shopping center with a Boston Market and a T.J max with excellent customer service.

Great Hotel for Long Stay

If you are looking for a good hotel to stay for a week or more, the Sheraton Four Points should meet your requirement. With a rented car, you can easily access to the hotel from HW95. The hotel has plenty of free parking spaces. The room is clean and other facilities well kept. The only problem is the noise from the airconditioning unit can be annoying specially in severe weather when the unit tried to adjust to the right temperature.

Request for room ending in ’06 to ’10 example 206 or 310 then you will be assigned to a room facing the front of the hotel and not too far from the elevator.

Nice place to stay

This is a nice hotel close to the Merritt Parkway and close to shopping. The restarauant has a very good breakfast in the morning at a very good price. the wife and I shared a omlette and it was plenty. I would definetely reccomend this hotel to others (already have)

Turn on the heat.

We’ve stayed here before. On Thanksgiving Day, 2008, it was 19 degrees outside. No one had turned on the heat in our motel room for the evening and it was freezing at 10:30 p. m. It took me an hour to get warm enough to get ready for bed which meant losing another precious hour of sleep. We were wakened by our son and grandson at 7 a. m.

it was ok

our stay was pretty good. front desk was not that friendly. room had really nioe furniture. only bad thing is the hallway. you could hear people who are walking by or chatting.

The Worst Stay I Have Ever Had In Any Hotel

My stay at the location was very poor and would never go back to this location! The air conditioner in my room did not stay on or get cold even after I spoke with the front desk 2 time. The water in the bathroom was rusty. I informed the manager on duty about the problems that morning. He said we was going to look into it but when I came back that night nothing was done to resolve either issue.

NICE BUT NOISY

rooms and service was great. but at 1:30am the halls were very noisy, doors slaming and people yelling. called front office, but it took 1/2 hour to get things calmed down. maybe better or more security next time.

Best deal in town

I was very impressed with this hotel, especially considering the low,low rate a night I paid through Expedia. I was expecting far worse, since I had read some of the negative reviews. My room did not smell of smoke, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Hallways were quiet. Much better than I had hoped for - would definitely stay here again!

Hotel Good, Restaurant Has Cleanliness Problems

The Rooms are contemporary and stylish. Set up is different with Closet at far end of room next to a standard house size window. Vanity sink was in an octagon corner of the bathroom and not outside of it, so it made it difficult for two people getting ready. Overall we were satisfied with the room and hotel. The restaurant had a pricey breakfast buffet and a reasonable menu for breakfast, lunch and supper. Food was good and portions generous. The problem is they don’t remove placemats or napkins that appear to be unused from tables to clean the table properly. I opened my napkin to find it full of someones crumbs and found crumbs on placemats. observed waitress clear dishes from a table and simply fold back the napkin from the previous customer. If you eat there, check forcrumbs before proceeding to eat.

McDonalds to the south and Boston Market to the North. Also north, entrance to Route 7 Connector to Mathew’s Mansion (movie Dark Shadows filmed there) for the tour, I95 East to Sono shops and restaurants, aquarium, Stamford Town Center Mall, ethnic restaurants including a great Irish Pub across the street from the outside of Macy’s,Greenwich to see the Bruce Musuem, Greenwich Ave shops and restaurants which you may have seen in national magazines.

Not a good stay this time.

I had stayed at this hotel in the past and was ok for the discounted price on Expedia. However, this most recent stay resulted in an awful experience. I was late getting to the hotel and as a result I think I got the last room available. It was on the 1st floor next to the business center and the small conference room. That part wasn’t bad - but the room itself was horrible. The curtains were falling off the track and even after I reported it wasn’t fixed. The bedside lamp was falling off the wall and that was eventually fixed during my stay. But, the worst part was the awful smell. They brought in humidifers which did not help at all. The carpet was new but already had retained this horrible smell. I had no choice to stay due to my schedule but it was not a good stay at all. The hotel service staff tried their best to resolve the situation, but it was more serious and a long-term fix is needed.

Good Room, Poor Customer Service

The rooms in the hotel were very nice and comfortable. On the key cards, there is a statement that if you don’t want the USA Today, to let the front desk no and there will be a credit per day. I was then told by the front desk that it was printed there, but not true. Although already paid, like all hotels they ask for incidentals. The person who checked us in made a mistake swiping the card, so we were woken up at 11:30 pm when already sleeping and asked for our credit card number over the phone. My husband was told that night, and I was told the next morning that this was there policy. It ridiculous for something that was their fault and it took 5 minutes of me arguing to even get an apology.

BEWARE!! DO NOT STAY HERE

Now where do I begin. The front desk clerk wasnt too friendly at all, but hey it was cool b/c the price I paid I could overlook her unsatisfactory customer service. The room I stayed in was suppose to be a non-smoking room but the room and the floor reeked of cigarette smoke. Now my sense of smell is not all that great but the smell was very profound throughout the sheets and chairs. The bedspreads had a few dog/pet hairs and the sheets had minor set in stains. And the overall hotel looked very outdated from the carpeting to the furniture in the room. If you still plan to stay here for which i would not, do not stay in the rear b/c all you will see is nothing but trash on the ground that is overshadowed by a HUGE mountain size rocks that blocks any type of view. AGAIN BEWARE

An OK place

Room was as described in a location easily accesible to the highways, yet quiet. Room had a slight musty odor - not a big deal, but annoying.

Smokers Heaven

What looked like a nice hotel, turned into a SMOKER heaven. We originally booked a: non-smoking king bed. We confirmed the registration details with the person at the fron desk (at this point we were told the entire hotel was NON-Smoking). And, given the keys to a non-smoking king size room. When we came to the room we discovered that it had two twin beds. We had to come back down with our laugage for a room change. We were given another room, this time with king sized bed. However, it was so smoked up, I thought I was in a cigar shop. Once again I found myself at the front desk. The guy told me that he was aware of the fact that someone smoked in the room. He also said that it was the only king size room left for the night. So after some complaining I was offered an alternative of a business sweet with a queen sized bed. Guess what when came to the room it too smelled of cigaret smoke (not as badly, bad enough for a non-smoking hotel). I was extremely dissapointed. At this point we were too tired of moving from room to room, and simply gave up. We had to keep the window open for the entire night.
