I stay at this hotel two times a year, the last two times i have had extra charges on my bill, usually for the bottle water and phone calls. The phone calls are after i have checked out of the hotel. I continue to bring it to their attention. The manager said they have too many hands in the cookie jar. Whatever that means.

Great hotel for the area

This is a good hotel if you are in the area; I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here. Everything was very nice, the only negative is the condition of the bathrooms. The employees go out of their way to satisfy you...I would recommend to others.

New Hotel of Choice in Richmond

We loved the Sheraton in Midlothian. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and kind. They paid attention to details. We met our breakfast waiter in the elevator - he knew our floor number! The beds were extremely comfortable. The indoor/outdoor pool was beautiful. Our 13 year old had a ball. My husband doesn’t want to stay anywhere else when he returns to Richmond. We had our dog with us and she was treated like a princess too!

Charming and still posh

Room was very clean, hotel services were polite and helpful. Exercise room was best I’ve seen in a hotel, new clean equipment & wipes for the machines; the pool area has an inside-to-outside tunnel that kids will love in the summer when both sides are open. Outdoor area in back of hotel makes up for the "view" of the highway & parking lot. Would definitely stay there again with the same pricing.

Will return

This place received a bad rap from a few previous reviews, so I wanted to make a point of expressing my positive experience there. The building may be a bit dated and the swimming area was certainly dingy at best, but the staff made up for all other deficiencies. They were charming and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable--no bad hotel smell, which is one of my major pet peeves. This will be my Richmond home away from home in the future.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

A Fresh Market a few blocks away helps avoid the fastfood traps surrounding the area.

Not impressed for the cost

This hotel looks great on the outside, but quickly it is evident that it is very dated once you get past the lobby. The carpet is worn and did not look clean. The air/heating system was very loud and had to be turned off completely if you wanted quiet (then the room is cold). Would not recommend this as a place to stay for the cost.

a little over priced

Nice hotel, a little overpriced for the location. I stay there two to three times a year for business. The same people have been working the front desk for the last three years and they never acknowledge I am a returning guest. Make sure to check your bill for things you may not have used.

I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful location. We dined at the restaurant and it was excellent.

Dissapointed

The over all hotel needed major updating, the room was not clean- stainted carpet- the bathroom was very dirty. A dog barking in the hotel was very nerve racking! The staff at the front desk was nice ...

If traveling to Richmond, VA they have many nice hotels in the outter area surrounding Richmond.
