Review of Monticello motel
This hotel was ok, clean, comfortable. Service was good, casual. overall trip was fine for my purposes. Nothing outstanding, but good enuf for a quick stop. Would recommend it under those circumstances.

Better choices out there
We booked this motel because of the "good deal". After arriving we realized we should have paid an extra $10 or $20 to stay somewhere else. Room was very small. I have seen walk in closets that are larger. The man at the front desk only asked my name and gave me a key. He didn’t give us any info (check out time, breakfast hours). I tried to call down later to get this info, but our phone in the room didn’t work. We left for a bit and when we came back it was raining. We tried to enter the motel through the back door which had a slot to use your room key to unlock it however the key wouldn’t work. We ran around to the front door and told the front desk our key wasn’t working in the back door and he then informed us that it was exit only. Not sure why you would put a key slot on an "exit only" door. We got to the room again dripping wet. Bed was very hard. Sheets had holes in them. Went down at 10am for breakfast, but it ends at 9am. Would never ever ever stay here again!
