Truly Awesome
If you’re checking out historic Charleston YOU MUST STAY HERE! First, take one look at the pictures of the rooms on their website--the rooms are really incredible for the price. We stayed in a king suite: -Exceptionally clean -Very friendly staff -Comfortable king bed -40"+ LCD TV w/HD service in the room -Fridge, microwave, coffee maker in the room -Sitting area in room w/couch, desk, etc. -Lobby is practically a convenience store -Bacon and eggs included in the FREE breakfast buffet -Free coffee and tea 24/7 in the lobby Its about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Charleston, and about the same to Mt. Pleasant to see the USS Yorktown. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Try Griffin’s for a night at a relaxed English pub right next to the battery, Tommy Condon’s for a rowdy Irish bar with live music, the blind tiger for a nice night downtown, or Library restaurant & rooftop if you’re feeling fancy and looking for a good view of the city.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice. We will stay at this hotel again next time we are in the Charleston area.

Great value, gorgeous hotel!
I admit I am somewhat sheltered in my hotel-dwelling experience. My only criteria for this trip was that I did not want a crummy hotel (I used to live in Charleston, I knew what to avoid) and I didn’t want to spend a lot. This was one of the nicest places I’ve stayed at. It looked pretty new (I stayed in July 09) and it is decorated very modernly. I was a little disappointed we didn’t spend more time in our room... I would have loved to stay there longer.
