GREAT HOTEL IN FANTASTIC LOCATION
FANTASTIC! Very nice hotel with American-sized bed, bath, shower. American style buffet breakfast was also a plus. Courteous, helpful staff all spoke English. But the best part is the locale. The hotel is just steps East of the Ponte Sisto bridge, a romantic footbridge leading to Trastevere, one of the nicest little neighborhoods in Rome (Fodors calls it Romes Greenwich Village). The Piazza de Santa Maria, as well as a large number of very good restaurants, shops, pubs, and the best gelato around, with relatively few American tourists (most of the tourists seemed to be European) await just over the bridge. Alternately, the Campo de Fiore is a short walk North, with Trevi, Navona, and Pantheon within walking distance, and the Vatican, Ancient Rome, Termini Station, and most anything else an easy cab ride away. We had three full days in Rome and this location allowed us to see all the highlights. Did I mention they have American-sized beds and showers?

Ponte Sisto on Point
The hotel is located in a great Rome neighborhood that feels more like the West Village, than the Mid Town-like bussle near the Trevi Fountain. The staff is great, reliable, and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and cute, but I would not describe it as plush, which you might expect at the price point. It seems, however, that Rome hotels run to the more expensive side of the range.

Che Bella Hotel!
The graffitted street walls belied the wonderful and charming hotel tucked away near the river. Great attention to detail, very accomodating staff, and super breakfast buffet. Foot bridge led over to wonderful restaurants and shops. Great value. Friends who joined us for dinner enjoyed the authentic food and prices compared to a more expensive part of Rome they were staying in. Near lots of main attractions - Vatican, Piazza Navona, Piazza Venezia, etc. Will gladly stay again.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Though the maps make local attractions seem far away, they are actually very close by. Wonderful local market on same street with a wonderful deli, bakery, and good wine selections.

Little known secret
I dont want to tell you about the Ponte Sisto because with good reviews and the true quality of this hotel, theyre bound to raise rates for my return visits. But theyre fabulous! The hotel really runs like clockwork; no surprises, a very friendly staff, modern rooms that are spotless and large, and a wonderful location. Im definitely making this my go-to hotel in Rome.

Would stay here again!
The location was walking distance to ruins and coloseum, good shopping, restaurants, plus more. Our room was nice, not too big but the bathroom was very spacious. The breakfast was good and had terrific variety. We would stay here again.

Very Impressed - would go back in a heartbeat!
Hotel was in a good location - we were able to walk to Vatican City, ancient Rome sites, Piazza Navona, Parthenon, etc. We had a very large room with a great big tub (very nice!). Our room also had a large balcomy overlooking the street below (balcony had table & chairs). The breakfast in the lovely courtyard was great and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
We only had a short stay and not a lot of time to see what we wanted to see. Since the hotel is right near the river and we found it helpful to walk along the river and then cut into the city center when we were ready. This technique turned out to be a faster and easier way to find our way since the maps we had were missing a TON of streets. If we had more time, I would have been more interesting in simply exploring the city as we recovered from being lost.
