What to expect: Riviera Resort & Spa - A Noble House Resort reopened fall 2008 after a $70 million renovation. The contemporary lobby, with its grand staircase, is brightened by large picture windows and mirrored pillars. Downtown Palm Springs and the Palm Springs Convention Center are two miles away.
Amenity highlights: The hotel offers two outdoor pools, spa tubs, and a well-equipped fitness center with free weights and cardio and strength-training equipment. Pool cabanas can be rented (surcharge). Dining options include Circa 59, a classic steakhouse with an ocean-inspired spin; and the Side Bar, with outdoor fire pits and lounges for star gazing. SpaTerra features spa treatments inspired by Indonesian, Thai, and Balinese rituals. The 12,000-square-foot spa has 18 treatment rooms, a Watsu pool, Buddha lounge, fitness center, retail boutique, and full service hair and nail salon.
In addition to two outdoor pools and spa tubs, guests enjoy four tennis courts and discounted access to golf at Classic Club. Pool cabanas with flat-screen TVs, refrigerators, furnishings, and other amenities can be rented (surcharge).
The hotel has more than 40,000 square feet of meeting and event space includes a ballroom for 3,500 guests.
