Not impressed.

Pretty "seedy" place for a Clarion Hotel.

This hotel is 50/50. Go elsewhere.

Well, to start off, there were no automatic doors, and when you have 3 pieces of luggage, that’s not fun. Second, after we got our card for our room, it didn’t work. I to go back down and get another card for another room. Got the new card, went to the room and we still had problems getting in. After about 7 tries, it finally open. We had the same problem every time we tried to get in. The toilet took 2 flushes for anything to go down. Rooms were a bit small.

The Hotel was drab in appearence the rooms were so tiny you would get castrophobia the service wow they lost our credit card and embarased us at dinner had to leave my wife and re subit my credit card maybe because they had to move us from our first room it had overheated to the point where air conditioning did not help but they said no i never presented them with one which even i knew from booking the hotel it was a must to stay there you give them a credeit card

Based on my experience i would never stay there or another of the same name

I would return but eat elsewhere.

The Clarion is in process of renewal so there was construction and work going on. The desk employees are extremely helpful and accommodating. The bus service cannot be beat... they even picked us up at the car rental. The room was clean, the beds cozy and linens soft with cozy comforters. We would be happy to stay again. We do not recommend the restaurant in the hotel. The quality of the food was VERY average and the manager was less than friendly which included a poor attitude with temper! Apparently there are other choices within walking distance or you may ride the shuttle to the airport where there are some good restaurants.

Traveler's tip

Clarion at SeaTac is a good choice and affordable.

Good for transient stay for Alaskan

It was a short walk from baggage claim... maybe 15 minutes. The hotel shuttle delivered me to the airport to catch the new light rail service downtown. When the rail project is completed, it looks like there will be a terminal directly across the street from the Clarion. For what I needed (an overnight between flights) this was the best value.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

The light rail station just up the road in Tukwila (spelling?)offered a great price to the downtown. I’d been prepared to use a taxi to go see a friend receiving treatment at Virginia Mason but a round trip on the rail cost only about 5 percent of what taxi rides would have. Get off at University and Virginia Mason is directly up hill. The maps in the rail terminals could have more descriptive.

Good beds!

The hotel is an older hotel but is set back from the main highway, greatly reducing traffic noise. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and new. There is very little closet space (the only drawback) but otherwise, if you are traveling to Seattle and don’t want to spend a fortune, stay at the Clarion. The hotel restaurant is not great, but there are many local restaurants that are really good. It is perfect for people who are only in a hotel to shower and sleep and don’t want to pay the $200+ prices that Seattle usually demands. There is a laundry room that is always well lighted and clean and it is a real bonus to us. We stay there every time we go to Seattle!

Traveler's tip on dining

Eat at Anthony’s Home Port in Des Moines or Salty’s at Redondo Beach, south on I-5. Or drive up to Seattle and eat at the Palisades with a gorgeous view of the city. Chinook’s at Fisherman’s Terminal in Ballard is always a hit and their wild mountain blackberry cobbler with ice cream is a must!

Comfortable, clean, and affordable

I thought this hotel was great. The room was very nice, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a lot of space for my 2 year old so he didn’t feel so closed in, and even though we didn’t go swimming, the pool area looked great. I would definitely stay here again. Great location to access downtown Seattle.

Tacoma Value

The Clarion understands that some people just need a comfortable overnight stay, no over-priced pampering here, just a free shuttle and a great sleep.

Close to the airport, affordable, but nothing special

This is a good place to go for a one-night stay before catching a flight out of Sea-Tac, but if you are looking for a vacation hotel this is not the place for you. It is aging but kept up fairly well, and the staff was helpful and polite. The room was clean.

A Flush

The toilet wasn’t working and after calling to have it checked, nobody came to fix it before I had to check out. I left without being able to take a shower because I was waiting for maintenance to come and fix the toilet.

OK! for the night. Went to the Airport following morning early.

A place to lay your head down. Went out to dinner to Chessecake factory. Got to the motel late and got up early. Breakfast at the hotel was good, very friendly.

Not impressed

The only plus to this hotel is that it is close to the airport. The walls were paper thin and it was a really noisy. I had to get up early to catch my flight and I didn’t get but a couple hours sleep because of the noise all night.

Good & Decent

Nice humble hotel to stay with. The environment is quiet & peaceful. We like there’s restaurant inside hotel so we dont have to search for dining outside.

Convenient, clean

Since I couldn’t get into the main hotel for the function I was attending, this hotel was a convenient option. Affordable, clean and the free parking a nice perk.

Convenient, Cheap, Extremely Comfortable, Clean

We arrived at the hotel very late at night. The receptionist was really nice, checked us in in no time. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom is simply perfect: spacious, sparkling clean, well equipped with a large bathtub and an arched curtain rod that opens your shower space. It is great to be able to enjoy a very good shower after a hard day. Their miniature shampoos, soaps etc. are Neutrogena, and not an unknown brand that smells like your kitchen all-purpose cleaner. There is a modern espresso maker with regular AND to-go cups, very convenient when you have to rush out in the morning. Nice big screen TV with all sorts of free (usually not free) channels. The best about the room were the sheets and the mattress: I have never, ever slept in such a confortable bed. I think I really liked it better than my own, and the sheets were divine. A big plus: a very convenient free shuttle takes you to and from the airport in 10 minutes, perfect for early morning flights. I was fearing some noise due to the proximity of the airport, but you can’t hear anything. Last thing I need to mention: I am a very picky person, and have never left any review just because I always have to complain about something. My 1st review goes to this hotel that clearly deserves thumbs up!

Overnight Okay

My husband and I stayed here overnight and for that it was fine. We would prefer something better maintained for a longer stay. The room was clean and comfortable so it was fine for our short stay. Also, the 24-hour airport shuttle provided excellent service.

Perfectly fine overnight stop

This hotel is a good choice for the money for an overnight stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable. Other than being a little bit on the noisy side, this was a convenient place to stay overnight in order to catch an early morning flight out of SeaTac.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

The hotel offers long term parking for much less than the airport.

so-so

Great location near the airport but the hotel is OK. I am a light sleeper and requested an upper level room but was told that with my Expedia booking I was not elgible for "one of those rooms".

More than likely would not stay at this hotel again

The hotel loby was nicely decorated and clean. The convenience of a restaurant in the hotel was a plus. However, our room and bathroom were badly in need of repair. Rug was very worn at entry way and did not seem to be very clean. Wall paper in bathroom was peeling off.
