Fabulous pool area and rooms- food and service not so great.
We have just returned from a family holiday during autumn half-term. The first inpressions are great. Fabulous reception area and offered mint tea on arrival. It was a real shame that the reception staff are not that fluent in english so we had to use our best french. Rooms were lovely and reasonably spacious with a seperate sleeping area for the children. Pool area was fabulous with covered beds to lounge in and plenty of umberellas. What spoilt it was the music system which was on all the time around the pool and at times was too loud. We just wanted to relax and listen to peace and quiet. The real dissappointment was the restaurant. Only two were open in the evenings. The main restaurant is a buffet style, but doesnt open until 8pm. It meant that when the doors opened it was a huge rush to the buffet bar before it all went. Not 5 star restaurant style or quality. The restaurant by the pool which served lunch was very nice though. We only saw one other english family. The pool was beautiful and there are some good trips organised through the hotel. I wouldnt say it was a 5 star resort and it was the restaurants and their dining arrangements that let the hotel down, along with the lack of helpfulness from the staff.

outside Marrakesh nice hotel
Very nice hotel with great pool areas. This hotel is very far outside of the city but we had a car so that did not matter to us. The rooms were very clean and the service was very good. The staff was helpful and spoke English. The breakfast was ok. We did not eat the supper buffet there since we felt it was expensive. The spa was nice but expensive also. My wife had a massage and a Haman but was not that impressed with either. My biggest disappointment was that they charged for the use of the fitness center.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
There was a very nice water park only a few minutes away from this hotel. It was not very crowded and a great way to spend the day. There are several cultural experiences to be had in the Marrakesh medina which is about a 15 minute car ride away.
