hotel needs an emergency plan
my hotel stay at la quinta inn in stockton was great except for a small problem the night i checked in: power failure on their side of the street! no signs, no lights, no computers meant no way to check in...i had to convince the desk clerk to let me in since this was prepaid...and i found my way to my room with my own flashlight...i would have appreciated a phone call alerting me to the problem since i left my phone number with my reservation...after the power came back late that night, the wireless internet service was still spotty for 24 hours but otherwise the hotel was fine...i would stay there again but think they should develop an emergency plan...and would not have objected to some compensation, like a free night on a future stay...

Good place for working trips.
I’ve stayed there several times on business. It has been pleasant. It’s next to I-5, which is convenient, but surprisingly not too noisey. There is a nice variety of restaurants close by at varying price ranges. This trip I had to bring my newly diabetic cat and that I was able to do that was an enormous relief and convenience. I will most likely continue to stay there.
