Nicest Spot in Billings
The location is great if you need to be downtown, or anywhere else in Billings for that matter. The location gives you access to some restaurants, coffee shops, shops, and even some small casinos. Just make sure you note the hours before making plans. Like most smaller towns, most businesses shut down early and many are closed Sunday or even the whole weekend. The rooms are a little aged, with some renovations overdue. Everything worked and there were no funky smells, which was nice. Linens were in good shape. The lobby is in good shape, and the staff was friendly. The airport shuttle is nice in a city like Billings where taxis are few and far between. The alarm clock was set to some terribly early hour when we got in the room, so be sure to check that before you call it a night.

Good experience, great staff - OK location
My husband and I were going on a hunting trip in Hardin, MT and wanted to spend some time in Billings and Yellowstone before and after the hunt. We booked at the Crowne Plaza because we felt that it was affordable and centrally located. And we were right on both accounts. It was only about 6 minutes from the airport and only 5 minutes from I90. The rooms were not spectacular but they were clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the Montana Sky restaurant was good, especially the breakfast buffet as it opened at 6:00 and we were able to get a good start on the day. The hotel was very accomodating and allowed us to use some freezer space after the hunt so long as our coolers were new and covered in plastic. The only negatives: we preferred to park in the well-lit parking lot in front of the hotel but there was limited spacing and we had to park in the garage next door. I would have normally felt comfortable with this option but in walking around the neighborhood, I found there were many homeless people and I was a bit uncomfortable with that. I come from a very rural area and am not used to that.
