Very good

If I have to come back to Panama City I would like to stay again in this hotel.

Only Airport Hotel

This is the only hotel in Panama near the airport so a traveller with an early morning flight does not have a choice. This is the second time we have stayed there. Our room had obviously at one time been a smoking room and it totally reeked. Our windows did not open so we could not air it out, we did however, turn on the a/c as high as it would go and it did not cool the room nor did it take out any odors. My suggestion to the hotel would be to shampoo the carpet and clean the drapes and repaint.

Pleasant Surprise

We chose to stay at the last minute just because the hotel was close to the airport and our flight out was an early morning flight. What a pleasant surprise when we drove up and walked into the lobby and then viewed the rest of the resort. A calm and tropical atmosphere. The room was a little dark but the bed was comfortable and the linens looked and smelled fresh. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Cafe service was slow but the food was acceptable.

This place is a dump

I would never go back to this hotel. Rooms are deteriorated, with paint peeling off the ceiling and walls. The decor is circa 1975. Everything smells musty. They claim to have wireless Internet available in every room, but after checking in, they told me it was only available in the lobby and pool areas. I spent a grand total of less than 10 minutes in my room before deciding to bite the bullet and take the taxi ride into Panama City.

Tired attempted luxury

This hotel is like the tomb mentioned by Christ - whitewashed on the outside, but rotting on the inside. In the room, plumbing and electical outlets falling off the walls, bad carpet, bad smells, peeling paint. But on the plus side, there’s nothing more convenient to the airport.

Great Pool

The hotel wasn’t much but the pool was great. The Riande is the best option for easy access to and from Tocumen. A little maintenance would go a long way.

Basic hotel, clean pool, nice bar, great people, wireless internet in the lobby. Wish they had it in the rooms.

Convenience

I have stayed here many times over the last 8 years. It’s very convenient since it is so close to the airport, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The a/c’s in the rooms need maintenance or replacing. I had to change rooms 4 times on one trip to get a room with a functioning air conditioner, but the staff was very appologetic and accomodating. The food in the restaurant is fine, and the pool is a pleasure.

Overnight stay near airport

We enjoyed an easy shuttle ride provided by the Riande Hotel from the airport. The hotel is just outside the airport and just outside of town. We did not have to get into the city, so we dodged the crowds! We rented a car in the hotel for our touring needs around the country. The Riande has a beautiful courtyard with pool, etc. The resturant has decent food. I will stay there again.

A very old and smelly hotel, not nice at all

This hotel is near the Tocumen airport, that means 45-1 hour away from Panama City, is an old Hotel not very clean, smelly Hotel, the breakfast is included and is not good, just a few tipes of bread and no meat or cold meat.

This hotel is good for one night. We were leaving the following morning for our cruise. For the price, hotel, breakfast and free shuttle is excellent.

Great Location, Poor Air Conditioning

Good air conditioning is a must in Panama City. I ended up paying for four rooms over two different stays at this hotel due to a family gathering, and found only two of them had air conditioning the next morning, and in the other two it was only poor to fair. Otherwise, this would be a great place to stay. The pool is nice and the restaraunt is excellent. The service was good also, they tried to find us better rooms.

Only positive is close to airport

Service is crap -- as a hotel near the airport you arrive after a flight and want to get to your room as quick as possible. We had to wait forever because they had 3 other people checking-in. The five people at reception were chatting away and gossiping and showed little interest in getting us a room (and we had pre-paid our reservation!) Getting a bottle of water to drink is a PIA. The infrastructure is circa 1970s and not much maintenance. The air con in the room didn’t really allow much adjustment -- either a mistral or stifling heat.

The info desk at the airport will call the Riande’s complimentary shuttle for you if you ask (free and saves a hassle of finding a phone, the number, etc.)

Nice way to relax

This is a great place to relax before traveling back home the next day. Airport transport is provided and the hotel has plenty to do to relax and entertain for an evening. The food was excellent! Staff attentive and took care of needs. I recommend it.

Will stay there again

It was a very nice hotel. It was clean, staff was friendly. It was difficult at times with the language barrier but we worked through that. I would stay there again. There is a free shuttle bus to the airport every 30 minutes

Stay at this Hotel if you flying in late. Panama makes for interesting driving if you are not familiar with the roads, especially at night. very close to airport and i believe it is the only one.

Use this hotel only if there is no other free

I really did not like this hotel. The people at reception did not have my rooms ready, all of the rooms were separate and far apart, the hotel is veeery old. In my room, the bathroom was leaking water, the lamps did not work. The only good thing about this hotel was the free shuttle to the airport. The food was sooo expensive at the restaurant and the breakfast was so bad.

It’ll do...

The Riande Aeropuerto is impressive looking but at closer glance you may notice that it is a bit dirty. It will do if you are looking for a convenient location to the airport and it was a nice change for us after staying in budget hotels during our time in Panama. However, our budget hotels were a lot cleaner than this! I was particularly disgusted with the feces that was sitting by the kid’s pool.

Hotel Riande

The hotel was a good value for the money and it’s location close to the airport is great. The shuttle service was excellent. It isn’t the newest hotel, but it was perfect for being near the airport for an early flight.

too expensive for the quality

This hotel charges too much. The breakfast included is cheap. Forniture, courtains, bead cloth and bathroom forniture are cheap quality, however they charge like 4 stars!

Should I stay here?

If you must stay near the aiport for business-this is ok. Otherwise-it is over priced and there is nothing near it.

Okay for a night...

Hotel is in the process of renovation, so not all the rooms are of consistent quality. We asked for a room change when we first arrived and the staff was very nice about it. The airport shuttle was included and that was a very nice convenience.

Only the location is OK

The first room we wee given had a bad smell and was damp. The second was only slightly better.
