the hotel is just basic. for the amount that you are paying its fair. Internet is a little bit unstable when u use from the room. great location though.. located in the downtown central, with the subway and tcc stops just outside the hotel

The location was good and room was not small but unsunny and darkish... Some receptionists were unfriendly. When I asked him to change for a $20 bill to use baggage lockers in the hotel, he said first "You have a lot of money". I couldnt believe it... What Was Wrong!! And I couldnt have access to the Internet in the room, especially at night because of Internet connection speed. I went to ask about this issue at the front desk, but he repeated "I didnt know about computer"... couldnt anything. I thought this hotel was far from cheap, so I expected more efficient service.

Not 5 star but ok hotel
Hotel was very simple - yes the rooms were clean but the bathrooms were not a 5 star at all. Everything in hotel was very simple but you can tell by the pictures on the website. The hotel staff were very friendly. I would stay here again, close to everything for the price paid.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Not a far walk at all to the Eaton Center, other shopping only a 25-35min walk away.

Great location, very good value
Only negative was the slowness of the internet connection but balanced by the great cheap coffee shop at the bottom of the building

Convenient
The Days Hotel is convenient to basically everything in downtown Toronto. The parking garage underneath the building is safe and accessible. Our room left a little to be desired, but considering the money we saved opting for the Days Hotel, was easy to overlook. One drawback was that our room seemed to be available as a suite with one entry for two rooms that was lockable to the outside. Our "suitemates" decided to lock us out inadvertently. The TV was small and seemed like it might fall off its stand at any minute. Not that the TV was an important part of our vacation by any means. All in all, the room served its purpose. We had a place to sleep and shower and hold our belongings.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The subway stop right out front is super convenient. Buying the day pass for two people for only $9 was a steal.

Jazz Weekend
We found this Hotel to be a good value and decided to stay here during our jazz weekend. The Hotel is located in downtown Toronto and is near Subway entances. Our romm was clean and comfortable. We did take advantage of the hotel pool before going out for the evening. It was clean and well maintained. We did use the restaurant in the morning and had a very nice breakfast buffet before heading out for the day. This is a well located and reasonably priced place to stay while in Toronto.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
If you want to hear some great Jazz while in town, look up listing for The Pilot(Saturday afternoons) The Old Mill Inn (evenening performances), The Rex Hotel (Jazz every evening) and there is a nice piano bar at the Pantages Hotel that does feature players from time to time. The Dominion on Queen also has some sme good jazz offerings.

Excited to go Back
This is an excellent hotel to stay at when visiting Toronto. Located in the heart of Toronto near some great Pubs and Bars. Easy acess to the Subway and Light rail made exploring Toronto very easy. The hotel staff was very nice and knowledgable about points of intrest and how to get to them. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
The Subway and Light rail make getting around Toronto very easy. I recomend getting the Day Pass for fast and easy all day acess to both.

Cheap, clean and convenient
This hotel is conveniently located downtown with easy access to the subway. Its not especially plush and the towels are dreadful, but it was kept tidy. Given how inexpensive it was, I was very satisfied.

functional space
We were looking for a basic, conveniently located hotel with parking and free wifi to stay in while attending a weekend festival. It met most of our needs. The staff was courteous and responsive and we were able to park easily in the underground garage. Only drawback was that the free wifi signal did not work in our first room (20th floor) nor in the room we moved to (2nd floor) with hopes of improving the signal. Wifi worked fine in the lobby.
Traveler's tip for business travelers
Free wifi did not work in the rooms on the 20th or 2nd floors we tried but was fine in then lobby; no business center but copy shop across the street and reception was kind enough to print out my document for free (off a USB drive).

Great location and rates.
This hotel is in a great location in downtown Toronto, close to everything. The college station subway stop is less than a block away which is nice. Clean lobby, clean rooms, fast elevators. Only problem was slow wifi, but it was free which was great. Id definitely stay there again.

Not bad, but the room was small. Request a view of Carlton.
This is maybe the 7th time in 10 years we have stayed at the Days Hotel on Carlton for Pride Toronto/New Years Eve. The location is great. However, the hotel is showing its age. It has not been updated in a decade, and our room was small and dark on this trip. We should have requested a view of Carlton St., as our rooms on previous trips were larger and brighter. Also, the refrigerator and AC barely worked (to my taste--I like cold AC) and the bathroom had no ventilation fan, so when you take a shower, everything stays wet and steamy. That is really my biggest complaint. I dont enjoy a damp hotel room. But they do keep it clean, considering how busy it was that week. One other thing: the elevators do not go down between floors. If you have friends staying on another floor, you need to take the stairs, or go all the way down to the lobby, and then up again. I get why they do that, I guess, but its inconvenient. Rant over.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
This location really is prime for Pride. Just a few steps from the parade route and an easy walk to the village. Try the Hair of the Dog restaurant for a fun, festive, but not-stuffy dining experience.

Pretty good value at a budget price
Extremely friendly, competent staff. Cant beat the convenient downtown location. Only beef was unavailability of Internet in rooms - had to try 3 before finding one with an adequate wireless signal.

Overnight Stay - Disappointed
If you are traveling by car, do not expect a driveway to pull up in or anywhere to park your car while you try to unload your luggage. There is none, so I had too park in the bus loading and unloading area in order to unload my car, check in and to find out where to park my car. The overnight parking rate wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. As we checked in I saw a sign about "Formal room rules" and i should have asked a few more questions at that time, but I was rushed because i didnt want to get a ticket for parking in a bus zone. The room was totally disappointing, barely big enough to fit the double queen beds, just enough room to walk by, the mini fridge was at least 40 yrs old, but clean, the bathroom was mostly clean, but my mom still refused to shower in the tub, and refused to take her shoes off because the carpet was gross. The room we could deal with, personally, i still think it was pricey for an overnight stay, but what really made it horrible were the prom kids partying on the patio, drinking, slamming doors, yelling, etc. i had ear plugs in and i could still hear it, but since i was so tired, i just fell back asleep. I thought my mom was asleep most of the night as well, since i could hear snoring, but apparently i was wrong on that point, and she wasnt happy the next day. Needless to say, I wont be staying here again.
Traveler's tip
If theres a sign about prom/formal room rules, always ask to be put on a different floor than from where ever they may be staying.

Convenient and Comfortable
This hotel was extemely convenient, we walked everywhere most of the time. (Although, the train station is one block away). It is near downtown Yonge, the very busy shopping district. The room was small, but for the price it was fine. Hotel staff was helpful and courteous. Major complaint is that there is no internet service in the room. We had to go downstairs and get an access code to connect.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Walking to the different neighborhoods not only saves money, but also gives you a first-hand look at the neighborhoods that you might not see otherwise.

room suprisingly disappointing
The hotel reception was impressive so that made the room all the more suprising. As soon as I saw the room I was disappointed. The colour scheme was not soothing, the cutains and bedspread did not match and the tv was on this spindly little stand with wires everywhere. The saving grace was the bed was extremely comfortable which was the most important thing. The view out of the window was of the airconditioning units. On the plus side, the staff were lovely, the pool great and check in and out quick.

Great Location
I was not impressed by the rooms but the good thing about this hotel is that it offers a great location at a very affordable price. Located in downtown Toronto, within walking distance from malls, shops restaurants and parks. The subway station is just a few steps away. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. It`s a great option if you want to be close to everything and are traveling on a budget.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Prepaid reservation through expedia gets you a better rate than booking directly with the hotel.

Great location
The hotel is perfectly located,a 5 minute walk to the Yonge main shopping area and extremely close to the subway station. The price was great and we were very satisfied with the hotel service. The staff is very friendly. Overall, a very good hotel.

Its a 5-10 minute walk to the Eaton Centre.
