OK for the price

Given the high cost of hotels in Paris this was satisfactory. Room is very small (quiet, a great plus), neighborhood is not particularly interesting, but very accessible (metro just a block away). Bring washcloth and soap if you don’t use body wash. No hair dryer, no refrigerator. TV with lots of channels. Free hot water and coffee (instant), tea bags in room. Desk people very helpful with info on getting around. Do not use automatic wakeup on phone dial, ask desk to set up for you. Bed large and comfortable. Towels barely changed. Sometimes just refolded. Shower works well. Bathroom very small. Not for the obese.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Near Chinatown (not that near however). Look for Vietnamese restaurants nearby.

Paris - Super 8 Style

We selected this hotel for its reasonable rates and proximity to the Metro. We also considered the fact that it was part of a chain to be encouraging. Upon arrival, we found the staff to be courteous and helpful. Our limited knowledge of the French language was greatly supplemented by their willingness to work with us so that we could have a pleasant stay. The rooms were not available at noon, as advertised, because of cleaning, but they permitted us to store our bags free of charge until the room was ready. The room itself had basic comforts, but no hairdryer was available that had been advertised. We also never saw any of those hardwood floors or fireplaces mentioned on the site. All in all, it was just a place to crash at the end of the day during our lovely vacation, so we weren’t too concerned about the 80s decor, or the postage stamp size elevator. We were just happy to be there.

A Nice Cheap 2-Star Hotel to Stay while in Paris

This is a nice small hotel but the location is very convienently located. The room is very small and the shower space is no larger than 3 ft x 3 ft where the shower curtain will stick to you while you are struggling with the soap dispenser. Our shower drain got plugged up the first night so the water soaked the carpet such that we had to change room. The new room faced the front and had alot of traffic noise so we couldn’t sleep all night. Next day we changed back to our first room and tried to live with the wet carpet till it dried up. The continental breakfast is worth paying so you don’t have to buy your croissant from a bakery down the block and "eat and run". The staff were mainly curteous and accommodating. The elevator can only fit one person and your luggage. There is a shuttle from the hotel to the airport which is not too expensive and very convienent so you don’t have to lug your baggage up and down the stairs of some of the Metro stations which don’t have escalators or elevators.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Definitely don’t be afraid to take their Metro. With just one ticket which cost alot less if you buy them in tens (called Karnat) you can go anywhere in the city (Airport and Versailles cost a little more). This hotel is located two short blocks from a Metro line that takes you to Eiffel Tower and the Arc directly and is a half mile walk to their Chinatown.
