Disapointed

Room was not air conditioned which made it very stuffy. The staff did move me to another room to be on the shaded side of the building but it was not any better.

If you like a cool room then do not stay at this hotel during the warm months.

Exellent airpot hotel

I stayed there to transit only. Airport shuttle is available every 20 minutes. Breakfast is from 4:30 am. Since I had to leave for the airport at 6:00 am, it was very convenient for me. The room has a kitchen, although I had no chance to use. I wish I could visit Finland for sightseeing next time.

Traveler's tip

If you take flights to other EU countries and don’t want to walk a lot, you should ask the shuttle driver to drop you at the domestic terminal. If you want to enjoy shopping at the airport, however, you should go to the international terminal. At the international terminal, there are many attractive shops including Moomin Shop and Marimecko.

Good for early morning flights

This hotel is a little far from downtown Helsinki, so I wouldn’t stay there for more than a night, but it is perfect for getting to/from the airport at odd times of the night.

You get what you pay for at the Budget Inn

Staff friendly, room OK, position close to the airport and Flamingo complex is ideal for business travelers. You get what you pay for though, it is budget and that’s OK if you’re only there for a night or two. For longer would definately consider somewhere else.

We had a morning flight, had to get to the airport by 7:15 am, so we wanted to stay a short shuttle away. Bonus Inn met our basic requirements perfectly: it is your basic airport hotel with free minivan shuttle service. The Bonus for us was that their sauna is FREE, which was surprisingly rare in the land of saunas. So our last night in Finland we were able to sauna, get a great night’s deep sleep, and have a stress-free arrival at the airport in the morning. My one warning: the on-site bar has limited & expensive menu... & breakfast is not included as in many hotels.

Bring some snacks, avoid the expensive and uninspired dinner menu in the lobby pub.

Close to major shopping mall for last minute shopping before returning home. Shuttle to/from airport is very efficient and people are very accomodating.

Very roomy and 10 minutes from Airport by Bus

We stayed 2 different nights at Airport Bonus Inn (coming into Finland and leaving Finland), and both times were very pleasant. The double room actually is 2 rooms connected together (2 bathrooms)! Some rooms even come with a sink. There is a very friendly Beer Pub (with a veranda) on the ground floor, which always seems to be busy in the evening. The shopping mall is just a 15-minute walk away - it has a large supermarket and just about any amenity you need to refill. Coin laundry was also good (included detergent). Considering also that the shuttle bus to the airport is free, this hotel is a very good deal close to Helsinki!

Got my money’s worth

I only stayed one night between flights, but found this hotel very convienent. I was shuttled from and to the airport. I do wish they would have provided a continental breakfast. At 8 euros I thought it was a little steep.

Convenient and comfortable for its intended overnight stay.

Comfortable typical Scandinavian design hotel and rooms. Good restaurant with reasonable prices with a wide choice of items. Bus to city easy to find. Quick transport to the airport terminals as well.

you get what you pay for

My room was very basic: 2 smallish twin beds, though I asked for a queen. No AC, but a window you could open. Kind of gloomy people-warehouse vibe, but an OK place to wait for your plane to arrive. Getting to and from Helsinki Airport is very convient and self explanatory, even if Expedia told me to wait at bus stop 2, it was easy enough to figure out that stop 11 was for hotel pickup. Room was quiet.
