Reasonable accommodation at a reasonable rate
This is an older hotel that is comfortable and clean but a bit tired. It is located next to the train station and just across a bridge from a popular plaza and surrounding shops. The beds were the most comfortable we experienced in Norway. The staff was friendly. It was Sunday evening and the hotel’s restaurant and bar were closed. Since we had just arrived that day from overseas, we were very tired. We got a good night’s sleep at a reasonable rate for Norway. Probably sufficient for a businessman. Probably a little boring for a family with kids.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Take a walk west along the river, cross the unique pedestrian bridge, check out the little park and then head east toward the plaza. Quite a few interesting shops.
