Great location
Royal Hotel has a great location very close to St. Stephens in Vienna. We booked it at a pretty good rate on Expedia.com. Comparatively speaking is was a bargain considering the location. It was a nice enough hotel and the included breakfast was excellent. We had tickets to see "Swan Lake" at the beautiful opera house in Vienna and the location of the hotel couldn’t have been more perfect. Just a quick walk through the pedestrian center and we were there.

I was delighted with my choice
The Royal Hotel is a stone’s throw from the cathedral, an ideal location for museum-going, for public transportation. The staff was unfailingly friendly and attentive, the room clean, quiet and comfortable.
Traveler's tip on dining
For a quick economical meal, eat-in or take-out it is hard to beat Nordsee, a couple of blocks down Kaertner St. All seafood, hot or cold. Try the smoked salmon sandwich with creme fraiche or the salmon caviar open faced sandwich.
