Great Location
The hotel was in a good location right near the quarter and felt safe even on late nights out. The street car stops right in front of the hotel which will take you to the garden district. We had a room on the inside so there was no window. It was kind of like being in an inside cabin on a cruise ship. Although the rooms arent as small as a cruise ship, they are smaller than most hotels. It is a sufficient size for two and was clean. It is good for the price and I would stay again.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Touring the plantations are beautiful but about an 1 1/2 outside the city and you only spend about an hour there. If you visit the garden district have a drink at the Columns. Great Happy Hour with Jazz. City/Cemetary/Katrina tour is a great way to start off your trip to get an overview of NOLA. Mothers for sandwiches is a must do and is close to the hotel. Irenes for dinner is great local place.
