Park Plaza Unique Hotel

Great location

great hotel location, at Recoleta one of the nicest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. It s a small hotel with friendly staff in a quiet place but just a few blocks from everything. Its my second stay at this hotel and I definetly recommend it, good price benefit.

Good hotel . Good location

A very well located boutique hotel . The Recoleta area is a kind of french neighborhood,a very enjoyable place. In my opinion this is a good hotel Our room was large enough, except for the bathroom,a bit small.Just one observation : we had no spare toilet paper (I mean new ones, with their envelope) and when the toilet paper was replaced, the new ones had about 1/2 to 2/3 of the usual diameter.

Great hotel, but quite far from centre

The hotel itself is fantastic - good sized rooms, friendly staff, not too much noise etc. However, it is a ~20 minute walk to the centre of the city, and there are not so many resturants etc immediately around it. If you are willing to catch cabs around (which are very cheap), then it’s a good hotel to stay at!

My favorite hotell in Buenos Aires

This was my 4th stay in this hotel and i would still come back.It has a great location, in one of the best parts of the city, nice and safe area.Ireally recommend it!

Good location and value for money

This hotel has an excellent Recoletta location. Good service, pleasant atmosphere, nice looking and value for money.

Very Good three star hotel

Excellent location but very noisy.

The hotel is very small (6 rooms per floor). Some rooms are located near the elevators and subject to their noise. The rooms are not very well insulated from other rooms and the noise can be disturbing. One night there was a party on the terrace of the next door building that was very noisy. We got moved to another room that night. This party is apparently a monthly event that the staff is aware of but cannot do anything about it.

Poor Service and Poor Tech and Electronics

TV reception was very poor, with unpleasant static for the entire stay and down for one day. Hotel subscribes to no premium channels! Wifi internet is extremely overpriced (14us for 12 hours!). And the quality is very poor (1 to 3 bars), and kept crashing. There is only one computer in the lobby for guests to use who do not want to pay the inflated price, and always busy. Room service personel was friendly, but most items were out of stock (and not much is served after 3pm in the afternoon). I settled on a hamburger which tasted and had the texture of a prefrozen, prefabricated patty. Room is small, a view of an old ladder with pigeon droppings which was never cleaned when requested, and too much sound from lobby and upstairs. All this from a hotel that claims to be 4 Star? It is a lower 3 on a good day. Do not be fooled by the lobby and faux Euopean look (lots of guilded frames and staute reproductions).

Quaint and Personable Hotel

We’re glad we chose this hotel in such a nice neighborhood, safe, quiet and clean. Close to all tourist sights. Staff are very personable and go out of their way to please. Hotel is clean and cozy with French inspired decor. We would definitely go back to Park Plaza. David, Pablo and Carlos are gems.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Enjoy the great food and inexpensive fare at the Clarissimo restaurant next door to the hotel. Only take Radio Taxi’s (have the hotel call them for you). Exchange dollars at banks or exchange stores for the most pesos.

This hotel was perfect: location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast. We would return to this hotel in a heartbeat! The staff is outstanding. They were willing to answer all questions, obtain bookings, and make excellent dining recommendations. Bravo!

There are a number of exceptionally outstanding restaurants in or near the Park Plaza, most within walking distance. Recoleta is a fantastic neighborhood: safe, clean, interesting. We highly recommend staying at the Park Plaza.

THE HOTEL HAS AN EXCELLENT LOCATION, CLOSE TO EVERYTHING, GREAT RESTAURANTS AROUND. WE’VE STAYED IN HOTELS IN BUENOS AIRES AND WE KNOW THEY ARE SMALL, TOO SMALL, THIS HOTEL HAD BIGGER ROOMS BUT THE BATHROOM IS STILL TOO SMALL. WHEN WE CHECKED IN AND SHOWED OUR EXPEDIA RESERVATION, THE GUY AT THE FRONT DESK TOLD US THE BREAKFAST WASN’T INCLUDED (AND WE HAD RESERVED THE ROOM INCLUDING BREAKFAST) AND WANTED TO CHARGE US FOR IT, IT WASN’T ABOUT THE MONEY (20 BUCKS) WHAT REALLY BOTHERED US WAS HIS RUDE ATTITUDE. THE HOTEL IS EXPENSIVE MAINLY BECAUSE ITS ITS LOCATION (RECOLETA) BUT THE BREAKFAST WAS SOOOOOO BORING, TOAST, JELLY, SOME PIECES OF HAM AND CHEESE, ORANGE SLICES AND SOMETHING THAT LOOKED LIKE SCRAMBLED EGGS. THE COFFEE WAS GREAT THOUGH. BEWARE! THE STAFF CAN’T SPEAK IN ENGLISH, WE ARE FROM MEXICO AND DIDN’T HAVE ANY LANGUAGE PROBLEM BUT WE HAD TO HELP TRANSLATING TO A COUPLE THAT WAS TRYING TO CHECK IN.

IF YOU NEED YOUR COMPUTER, GO TO AN INTERNET CAFE, THE HOTEL CHARGES 14 USD/DAY IF YOU USE THE CONNECTION IN YOUR ROOM. THERE’S ONE COMPUTER IN THE LOBBY BUT WE WERE NEVER ABLE TO CHECK OUR EMAILS.

Extremely helpful staff

I picked this hotel based on the great reviews and was not disappointed. The room was nice, breakfast was good but best of all the staff at the front desk was extremely helpful. We only stayed in the hotel for one night so we wanted to make the best of it, they helped to arrange the tour and provided information on everything we asked about.

The shopping Patio Bullrich, near the hotel, and excellent restaurants in the area make this location excellent.

Good deal but it is not a 4 star hotel

Our expectation was higher. We thought it is a 4 star hotel. It is defiantly not a 4 star hotel. However Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is really good and safe. Breakfast was OK. The room was very small. Elevators are very old and small. A lot of noise in the room. Our package included a tango show but the hotel denied it. Some bugs during the night too.

Great Choice in Buenos Aires!

The hotel staff was exceptional! They helped us plan out a wonderful trip with great dining and tourist recommendations. Great area...safe and centrally located. Easy to walk to many sites or short cab ride. Great value.

Wonder Hotel

When we came we were upgraded to a Suite for free. Beautiful room and Hotel. Very nice and helpful staff in the reception, they help us with everything. Breakfast was great and lots of it. Location is the best in town, safe, posh and beautiful building in the neighboorhood, Would love to go back again. I would recommend this to everybody.

A Neat Little Hotel In An Excellent Location

This was a nice small, clean, and comfortable Hotel. It is located in the Recoletta part of town, which is close to many attractions including Eva Perrone’s burial site. The Hotel Desk Staff, Patricio, Pablo, Jeremiah, and David were excellent hosts and arranged all of our Tango shows and other activities. We highly recommend this Hotel!

Eat breakfast at the Cafe next door, it is economical and of good quality for the price. Insure all of your Taxis pick up and drop off at the Hotel.
