Here, you can unwind and enjoy an array of activities ... in quiet, lush surroundings. The cosy, woody reception sets the tone. All the beams, joists, exposed stones and wafer-brick walls you’d expect from a restored farmhouse with outbuildings. Bedrooms are in the stable wing: some off a raftered corridor upstairs, some at ground-floor level. White walls and old timbers, attractive repro country furniture. The bar has an English pubby feel.
