Great hotel, not such a great location
Campanile Paris Sud Clamart is an excellent hotel for the value. The staff are multi-lingual and very helpful & pleasant. The room was simple, but clean, well appointed and quite comfortable. The only downside to this hotel is the location. It is not in a very nice part of Clamart. If you were staying with a group, it would be one thing. But I wouldn’t recommend it if you are a single female who is planning on coming and going after dark. It’s also a bit removed, so you have to take buses to get to the train or metro stations.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Take the M4 metro to the last stop -- Porte D’Orleans, and then take the bus to the hotel. One way bus ticket costs 2.65euros. Much less expensive than a taxi!
