Nice relaxing stay
I had a great three night stay at the Vacanciel in Guethary. The suite was larger than we expected, with a well stocked kitchen, patio, showered bathroom, and three beds for just two of us. Not fancy, but more than adequate for an enjoyable, relaxing getaway. The hotel seems to have a bunch of amenities including a pool but we didn’t explore those.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
There isn’t much to do in Guethary itself besides lay on the beaches. For a more lively tourist time, plan your trip around daytrips to nearby St Jean De Luz and Biarritz. It’s very easy to catch a bus between the coastal towns. Walking is also possible, though the area is very hilly.
