Wonderful Hotel!
My husband and recently had a 7 day stay at Room with a View for our honeymoon. We stayed in a studio apartment with a great view of Vegamot and another bar. It was great for people watching. The room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. In addition, there was a hot tub on the fourth floor patio, a steamroom and spa area on the second floor and a huge selection of DVDs to borrow. The hotel is located right in the middle of the shopping district with easy access to restuarants, art galleries, and tourists centers for booking excursions. The staff was friendly, knowledgable and helpful. We ended up having one of our most fun evenings due to their suggestions. We both had a wonderful time at Room with a View and I am certain anyone else who stays there will too!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Each unit in Room with a View has a kitchen which allowed us to brew our own coffee and prepare a few of our own meals. This saved us from having to eat out every meal. There are two grocery stores in either direction, both within a mile.

Not a room with a view
Our studio was on first floor without any view, but very central in Reykjavik.

Great hotel - would definitely stay again
The hotel is great, very stylish and clean!. They have a hot tub on the rooftop which is great, too. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Location can’t be better. You’re in the middle of Reykjavic on the main shopping street. Everything is in walking distance. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to everyone.
