The Oroville area is well know for its water recreation. We have the beautiful Feather River and Oroville Lake. Oroville Lake has one of the worlds largest earth filled dams. Tours of the dam can be made by appointment. Oroville Lake also has some of the best fishing in the state of California. There are at least 2 pro tournaments a year at the lake. The Oroville area is rich in history. The California gold rush started at Sutters Fort in Sacramento and worked its way to Oroville.Note: California State University Chico graduation in May, 7 day advance cancellation required. Decent place to stay!
If you’re staying in Oroville and need a basic hotel, this is your place. Our room was well appointed and clean. You could see a bit of wear and tear but everything was working. The staff at the front desk were courteous and friendly. We would definitely stay again if we’re in the area.
