La Quinta Inn Orlando Airport West

I would have been a lot better off in a tent!

The room smelled very strongly of mold and stale smoke. We had to compromise our safety and sleep with the window and door open even after we had the maintenance person spray the room and clean the air filter. The place was DISGUSTING!!!

What we expected

We were just needing one night to stay before our cruise so we didn’t need anything fancy. We got a good price and the room was clean. We had to wait a little bit long for the airport shuttle and there was some confusion and it ended up being to full to take us. They let us take a taxi instead on the hotel tab. So we appreciated not having to wait another half hour at least for another shuttle. We walked down the road to get something to eat and it would have been nice to have sidewalks to walk on, but that’s not the hotel’s issue.

Good... for the price.

If you just need a place to sleep for a few hours and get back to Orlando asap, this is a good cheap option. Not recommended if you like to hang out at the hotel or pool.

Very Good Service

I was just staying one night to have a room close to the hotel, and it was a great stay. The hotel employees were very helpful in setting up a shuttle to the airport in the morning, and replacing the batteries in my remote control. The room was very clean, bathroom/showers were about as good as you can expect at a La Quinta Inn, and the pool was pretty nice too. Overall good place, and very good prices.

You get what you pay for....

Not bad, didn’t have the quality of a chain hotel but it wasn’t absolutely terrible either. I booked about a month in advance for a King room & the only ones available were handicap rooms so I switched to a double room as I was alone anyway. Wifi was slow, but again, didn’t expect 5 Star at 3 Star price.

the hotel was difficult to find, there is one closer to the airport that we stopped at first. this was much, much nicer than the one we stayed at.

If you want 5 star this is not it. Book with a 5 star hotel. If all you need is a clean room and comfortable bed you can get it here.

Good hotel for a short stay

The La Quinta Airport west was good for a short stay. The pool is a little small and the place was a little run down but the room was clean and comfortable. The other La Quinta in Orlando (airport north) is much nicer.

We picked this hotel because it was close to the airport and had a shuttle service. The hotel staff was nice but the rooms were terrible. There was mold on the walls in the bathroom. The bed linens were old and I couldn’t be real sure they had been washed since the last guest. One of the elevators was not working. The hotel looked old inside and out. The continental breakfast was poor at best. We got there at 7:00 at night and left at 7:00 the next morning but the 12 hour stay was not worth the price no matter how cheap it was.

Decent hotel and close to airport

Choose this hotel for its closeness to the airport for an overnight stay. They provide free transportation to and from the airport. Hotel had a pool which was nice because it was so hot outside and free continental breakfast was also nice.

Hotel is aging. It was sufficient for a quick overnight airport stay, but wouldn’t recommend it for more than that.

The restaurant in the parking lot was good and very reasonable. Only thing available in walking distance.

June Business Trip to Orlando

Excellent value hotel. Quick check in, clean, high speed internet worked, quiet, comfortable beds, clean bathroom and shower, plenty of towels. Only knock on the place is the complimentary breakfast, in a word, it’s lame, it’s almost why bother saying there is one. I was not expecting bacon and eggs, but it’s just not good. Other than that, the property gets hight marks and I would stay there again, because it’s in a good spot, close to the airport.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Two quick items to think about. June in Orlando is really humid and hot. I have to dress formal for business and as a women hose are very warm during the summer months, opt for thigh highs to keep a little cooler. Secondly, have a rental car for dinner options as nothing is really within walking distance.

No way, definitely stay somewhere else unless you’re on a budget!!

One good thing that I can say about my stay at this hotel was that the staff was really nice and helpful. First of all, the only reason I stayed there was because I needed a one night stay for an early flight the next morning and figured this hotel would be good because I’ve stayed before @ the same hotel somewhere else. Yes, it is really close to airport. To start off the bathroom was disgusting, it had hair all over the toilet seat and tub and not to mention the fleece blankets on the beds were full of what it seemed to be animal hair, obviously they don’t wash after every visit. So you know that I did not sleep on the bed, but instead watched TV and dozed off on the chair. The pool seemed to be blue from afar, but when you get close up you can see the green algae settling on the pool floor. I know I cannot expect 3-5 star services for a very low rate a night hotel, but again because I have stayed at the same franchise before, I expected it to be ok, but not dirty/disgusting. Next door there is a fast food restaurant (that we all know the name) that took forever for your order and not to mention the type of people that hang out there and begging you to buy them a bite to eat. At night, area is not so good. I cannot stress to you how bad it was and couldn’t wait to board on the flight home and come home to a clean shower and toilet. Yes, truly uncomfortable. The outside is deceiving!!!

The hotel was very clean and well taken care of inside. The out side looks run down, but it is very nice inside some carpet looked a little woren. the hot breakfast was really good. The staff also went out of their way to keep us happy. had a great stay.

Hotel food court was less to be desired and room was not as cleaned when arrived, so I would not be going back there.

shopping was convenient located a few miles and actually getting to universal and seaworld was conenient as well.

It was a little dark going around to the back of the hotel to the outside room door. Once inside the room, it was comfortable.

Customer Service very good

We cannot say enough about how the front desk personnel helped us out. The shuttle service driver was great and was also the person checking us in at the hotel. The hotel had given away our Non-Smoking room and she went above and beyond to make the smoking room as comfortable and up to our expectations as possible.
