Excellent hotel
If you need a place to stay that is close to the train station, this is the one. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, free wifi access, courteous staff. Our only complaint is that they dont start serving their very good included breakfast in time for early train schedules. They did offer coffee and oj however early in the morning.

Wonderful hotel. Great value.
Just across the park from the train station, the 3 star rating was a concern but the hotel was more than expected. About a 10 minute walk from historic Strausbourg, this was a wonderful hotel. New bathrooms, great service, friendly folks. Highly recommended.

good location and breakfast
We stayed in Le Grand Hotel 2 nights. Its a boutique hotel. The 1st night, we booked a Tradition room and got upgraded to a Privilege room. The 2nd night, no Tradition room was available so we stayed in a Classic room. Just a 3-5 minute walk from the railway station, the hotel is located just across a square from the station. The Privilege room was big enough and nicely decorated. However, in the Classic room, the double or queen sized bed took up most of the space, and the room had no air conditioning, just a fan, which would be a problem only during the summer. The complimentary French breakfast was tasty and had lots of choices.
Traveler's tip for business travelers
If you book 1st class rail tickets, which are expensive, dont expect any kind of meal service in France on Sundays or holidays.
