Everything was as good as I expected it to be.
Room comfortable. Good selection of cable channels. Refrigerator and microwave in room.

Not too thrilled
Access was only steps at the front, The rear entrance door was propped open when I checked in and was told its probably open for air movement. The light from the court yard was so bright it beamed through the curtains all night, and I could hear everybody out there talking. Breakfast was hard boiled eggs and the sausage was gone by 6:30 am the rest was the usuall continental breakfast. No decent resturaunts near by, only fast food. Room was clean and coffee was good.

Uncooperative Desk Clerk
This hotel is very conveniently located for those who want to visit Mount Vernon. Not fancy, but very good included breakfast. But, we had a very bad experience with an uncooperative and unfriendly desk clerk. It took 1 1/2 hours to simply check out one day early when our plans changed b/c of her refusal to assist.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Mount Vernon (Washington’s VA home) is a must see trip when in Alexandria or visiting the nation’s capitol. The new museum is spectacular, interactive, and educational. Walking the grounds, touring the mansion, and seeing his tomb is an experience every American should have. Allow a full day to get the most out of your visit. Just up the road is Washington’s grist mill museum and is also worth a stop.
