Good Budget Hotel
If you want to visit Paris but are on a limited budget, this hotel is a good option. Of course it is not luxury, but it is not meant to be nor does the hotel advertise itself as such. However, the hotel provided a good clean room, shower with bathtub, soap, shampoo, etc. The staff spoke English well and were very friendly and helpful. The hotel provided continental breakfast everyday including coffee, baguette, croissant, yoghurt and orange juice. It is very close to the Place du Clichy metro stop, which has a direct line into central Paris/attractions. There are numerous restaurants and cafes close by, and the neighborhood seemed fine. All in all a good value for the money involved.

Bad, bad experience
The room was unbelievably small, and one of the few hotels I’ve encountered WITHOUT wireless internet access, even in a lobby. It’s 2009.. get with the times! There was no shower curtain in the bathroom, so the floor got flooded when I took a shower. Also, the tiny TV in the room was broken. Finally, when I went to check out the following morning, the hotel attendant was ASLEEP on a nearby couch!! The front door to the hotel was locked, so I had to actually wake him up to let me out! Unbelievable!

If you are looking to stay in Paris, don’t stay here
I always wanted to go to Paris, and when it came to doing so, I booked this hotel...Bad idea. First, it took some searching to find, then, the room smelled like men’s calogne. The view out the window was not plesent (there was an empty durnt out building next door). It was not at all what I tought Paris would be. It did not seem like a safe place for 2 young girls to stay. It was not convenient to any main attractions in Paris as well. So we high tailed it out of there and found another place.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If you are looking to be a "tourist" in Paris, this is not somewhere to stay. Stay closer to the attractions, and you will feel safer walking about. Splurge a bit and spend the extra money, you would be glad you did.
