Wish I could go back tomorrow!
Room smelled musty/mildewy. We were in a room on the N.E. corner of building and a bar across the street played really music every noght until 1 or 2:am. Staff was really nice and food was good.

Unfortunately one of the better options in Mazatlán
I visited this Hotel under the impression that they would provide a good service, given the tour that we received a few months ago by one of their bellboys. Turned out to be a disappointing experience. The toilet had not been cleaned on the room they assigned to us, and when prompted about the issue, they did not apologise and only sent someone to perform the duty. We had to explicitly request a change of room while this was being done, as it was only a short stay we had and did not want to lose time. Next to the lifts there is the "Concierge", which is nothing but people trained to sell you shared time under the impression that they will get your info to verify you are a hotel guest and that they would give you personalised information on the region. Watch out of these people as they are time wasters. The Hotel is located on a comfortable area in Mazatlan, and they proudly show on reception an award for "excellent in service and over-achieving customer expectations". This was received in 2001. I doubt they would get anything similar to this today.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Most shops around the Hotel are rather expensive as they expect tourists to be rich. Avoid them, and instead head towards Mazatlan Centro, where most shops and restaurants are better priced.

excellent
We had such a really good time in mazatlan at this hotel. I truly recommend it! the beach and pool are clean and safe. Room very convinient and a lot of stores and restaurants near by. It is probably not a luxury hotel but still is very nice.
