Knott's Berry Farm Resort Hotel

Our stay was convenient...close to family that live close by.

My husband and I enjoyed are stay at the Knotts Berry Farm Resort. The location of the resort is close to family that live just 5 minutes away. We are familiar with the area and feel safe to go about. Disneyland is less than half an hour away, so is shopping and restaurants. Enjoyed are stay very much!

not impressed

Hotel staff don’t seem to care much about travelers, waited for about half an hour to check in, because receptionist was too busy talking to coworker. first room we got the carpet was stained and hadn’t been shampooed in a long time, it smelled, had to request another room.

Convenience

The location was perfect. I was so grateful that after a very, very long day at the park, it was only a short walk back to the hotel. The room was clean and quiet. We did not hear our neighbors at all. My son was so excited when Snoopy came out and he took the time to take a picture. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. There were only two things that annoyed me, we had a double occupancy room with two queen beds and one of the beds had no sheets, just a comforter. We had to call house keeping at 12:30am and wait for them to fix up the bed. They came in a timely manner and were very apologetic but it is still frustrating when you have a cranky 6 year old wanting to go to sleep. The other thing is that they do not offer a complementary continental breakfast. We only wanted bagels and fruit because we were going to gorge ourselves in the park later with all of the tasty treats. Over all I would say that I was satisfied with my stay and I would stay again.

You have to eat at Mrs. Knott’s Fried Chicken Place. Breakfast, lunch and dinner doesn’t matter which one, hands down was the best food we had our entire trip.

My trip to Cali for my birthday

My boyfriend and I planned a trip to Disneyland and I saw that Knotts Berry Farm Hotel/Resort offered a free shuttle to the park, so we booked with them. We can honestly say it was a great stay. The hotel staff was courteous and always available. The shuttle was on time and the driver was polite and they even have a step stool to help you in and out of the shuttle. The only downfall with the shuttle was that the lastest they pick you up from Disneyland is 920p so we missed the fireworks show. The room we stayed in was clean and the air conditioner worked great. They do charge you to park at the hotel though so that kind of sucked but it was worth it.

There is a great restaurant, Chinese Buffet, on Harbor Blvd. and Orangethorpe Ave. in Fullerton. It was about a 10minute drive from the hotel. Right near the restaurant is an AMC movie theatre and a mall as well. Didn’t get a chance to see the mall but it looked nice from the outside, lol. :)

Not impressed

The overall attentiveness of the cleaning staff was quite poor. They did not replace cups or glasses with clean ones on a daily basis. Did not replenish coffee products until asked to. No conditioner for the hair and the shampoo was watered down and very poor quality and was not replaced after we used up what was initially given. Staff at front desk was not very helpful in helping to find alternate transportation to nearby attractions. I will not use this hotel again. The only positive thing they have going is the free transportation to Disneyland!

Good location thats about it

The walk to Knotts is excellent. I had to ask for a map of the hotel and how to get to the park. I wasn;t told about a discount you get for showing your room key at the restraunt they have and TGI Fridays. I was very disappointed.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

Great location,very friendly service love the pool and spa. We have been staying there for the past 10 years. For us its the only place to stay when we are in Buena Park.

Great location

Being right next to Knott’s Berry Farm with a complimentary shuttle to Disneyland was great and very convenient. There are a few restaurant choices within walking distance from the hotel such Claim Jumpers, TGIFridays, Mrs. Knott’s Chicken dinner, etc. if you don’t want to in inside the hotel at Amber Waves. Hotel room was comfy and staff were helpful and nice. Overall, I would stay here again.

Had the best time in a long time!!! Impressed!

Everyone was extremely helpful and courteous. I loved it!.... Especially the Amber Waves Restaurant--waitstaff extreme!!! Fantastic customer services. Gotta love the Chicken Restaurant!!!!

Old and run-down, not worth the convenience!!

We went to Knott’s Berry Farm Theme Park and stayed at the hotel because it was convenient. When we arrived the front desk service attitude was very nonchalant. We didn’t feel like welcomed guest but a burden to their workload. When we arrived at our hotel room, it was very old and run-down. The carpet was filthy, the bedspreads are from the 1970’s. The toilet didn’t flush well. The ice machine did not work on our floor nor any other floor. We were directed to go the lobby to get ice! We left for a full day for the park and when we returned, our room had not been cleaned. We had to call and the room service come in to look around the entire room as if they didn’t believe us. I went to the lobby to print something from my email and the hotel printer was out of order. The front desk was not helpful or apologetic. The non-amenities was not worth the convenience to the park.

Our stay was great again (we previously stayed in 2006)! Love Snoopy!!

Great for families especially wih kids

The bathroom was not very clean. They didn’t have enough supplies (i.e. shampoo, etc). Overall it was a nice place for children and families traveling to Buena Park. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the service was good.

If you have little ones, make sure they don’t miss the "Snoopy tuck-in" at 8pm every night.

We love Knotts Berry Farm

The hotel is on the Knotts grounds so everything you want to do is right there. We were married on this trip at The Church of Reflections it was or dream come true . Lisa at the front desk was the best ! She addressed us by name everytime we walked in the lobby and was the first one to give us a big hug after the wedding !We had 32 guest come in for the wedding (all from New Orleans) and everyone was very happy ! The only bad thing was we reserved a queen room and they gave us a room on the end of the hotel .It was half the size of a normal room and I swear the bed was a double ! They did move us when we told them we were not happy so we did have a happy ending ! See you next year ! They also have a free shuttle to Disneyland with lots of times to go and be picked up .

not all that

when i found a piece of hair in the coffee maker & dirty and dusty room, i just knew the quality of the hotel. that’s all i needed.

Wish we were still there

My family went to Knotts because I was standing in a good friend’s wedding in the park’s Chapel. It was such a beautiful setting. Your park or hotel should advertise the Chapel more because it is such a quaint and moving experience. The staff, especially Angela, catered to our every need (regarding the wedding). I think one of the best features about your hotel is that, my kids loved that they could stand out on the balcony and it seemed like the roller coaster was 10 feet away. No one should under estimate this theme park and hotel. I think it’s right up there with the Big Boys.

They have the greatest little shops in between the hotel and the park. So as you are either walking to or walking back from the park you have an excuse to get in some shopping!

Great property, fabulous for families

If you book online expect that the front desk will probably not have the details of your trip. Be sure to bring printed copies of your reservation. However, even when sorting out your reservation the staff at the hotel should prove really helpful. The Disney shuttle worked great, the drop off and pick up locations are clear. The breakfast buffet is more than enough to fill you up. If you want something besides orange juice just ask the server and they will bring it. Finally, don’t forget to say hi to Snoopy. He appears in the lobby in the mornings and evenings and is great about spending time with the kids.

Dissappointed

Desk clerk that check us in needs training. She just gave me the keycard and walk out without showing where to go. She did not give us the breakfast voucher and was unaware of the specials going on. Rooms were so small and outdated. No extra AC plugs to charge our cellphones, laptop, mp3 players, etc. AC is weak in cooling the room.

This place is good if you’re looking for a place to stay next to the theme park. If you are not getting a good room rate, I suggest find another place.

Great Value! Great Location!

Overall I enjoyed the stay. Rooms are dated, yet clean. The bed was uncomfortable. Service was great. Nice people work there. Located next to the entrance to Knott’s berry Farm and across the street from Soak City. And value? Great price on the room plus two complimentary breakfast buffets were given for each nights stay. My and I daughter enjoyed the buffet. Not a fufu continental breakfast but a full on hungry man breakfast.

Good for the price

The hotel was good for the price and walking to Knotts Berry Farm was close. We had breakfast buffet which was included in the hotel room. That was a perk the only thing you should know is that you only get 2 tickets per room so if you have 4 or 5 people you will be paying for them. We were lucky becuase we stayed 3 days and missed the breakfast the first day so we got 6 tickets that evening so we were covered for breakfast for our stay. The bathroom was not as clean it had some mold on the shower and that was our second room the first was worse and the shower head full of calcuim kind of gross. The bed was really hard and uncomfortable but you do get what you paid for. The hotel pool was clean and not really busy. If your on a budget and want clean this would be the place just dont look to hard at it and enjoy your stay.

not as good this visit

This was our 2nd visit since last July and we were disappointed to see that the service had declined. Our first night we ordered rm service and our order had not been put in when first called in so ended up waiting over 2 hours for dinner.Housekeeping skipped our rm on one of our nights there.Overall, even with these issues I’d recommend this hotel due to it’s proximity to the parks, free Disney shuttle.Just like to suggest longer restaurant ,rm service hours as they don’t give enough time to get a bite after Knott’s Berry Farm closes.

Fun for kids

Hotel was great for families, we saw Snoopy three times in the lobby during our stay. The pool, arcade, and fitness center were great and it was extremely convenient to get to places. It was really clean and the staff was very nice. The downsides are that there is no refrigerator or microwave, the mattresses were not comfortable, and the wifi was expensive. Since there’s no complimentary breakfast, you have to bring an ice chest or pay for a meal every morning. The McDonald’s nearby is awesome with toy trains running all through the restaurant, but it’s too far to walk unfortunately.

Comfortable & Great Value

For the price thru Expedia, I actually liked my stay. Great pool area and close if you are visiting Knott’s Berry Farm.

In Need Of Some Repair

We stayed here just one night as we were visiting the park next door. The price was fair and we did not expect a resort experience. However many basics were missing or unavailable. For example for ice we had to go to the restaurant in the lobby as all ice machines were inoperable, as were the vending machines. The in-room air conditioner was so loud we could not use it so we had to sleep with the window open. Also when checking in our credit card was charged a deposit for any charges they might miss when we checked out, and this was refunded several days later. Not horrible but I can’t recommend it to others.

Very Convenient Location

The hotel was nothing fancy, but just as advertised as a 3 Star hotel. Was clean and comfortable and most of all, close and convenient to Knott’s Berry Farm. Within walking distance to the park. Not to mention that they were kind enough to let us check in early around 11:00am. Nothing to complain about. Will definitely stay there again.
