We loved it!
This was a wonderful place to stay, off the beaten path. The setting is lush and beautiful, the beach is nearby (you can hear the waves and/or rain as you sleep). We stayed in the "Jungalow" which was very affordable and nicely done. Its not luxurious by any means, but its clean and comfortable. It really is a shack, so there is limited privacy. But I loved the feeling of being outdoors while not actually being outdoors. The bathroom/kitchen is in a separate building, but its private. Just watch out for mosquitoes when you shower! Thats probably the worst part. They provide you with a kitchen area with BBQ, toaster oven, small fridge, and all the utensils you could need. I highly recommend the breakfast for $10. Mark, the host, is a former breakfast chef, and hell cook for you right in his kitchen and give you advice for local attractions. I love that this place is away from the big resort/condo/golf course areas, and the beauty is worth the extra drive past the center of Hanalei. Its very close to the Kalalau/Napali Coast trail which, if you like hiking and magnificent views, is not to be missed.
