I’ll stay there again
I chose this hotel because it was convenient for Oakland airport, although not too close to be noisy for air traffic. Located close to I-880 but also small neighborhoods, it is within walking distance of several stores, restaurants, gas stations and a golf course. We had a room above reception at the front of the hotel, but we weren’t aware of street noise. The king sized bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows which is unusual for me to find. The LCD TV had lots of channels including HDTV. Continental breakfast was available from 6 am, but there is no eating area, so guests eat in their room. The waffle maker was fun, both to make waffles and to eat them. They even had regular milk for cereal or tea. Friendly and helpful staff, both at reception and housekeeping. There’s nothing negative I can say about my stay!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Home Depot and Target are close by, as are several restaurant chains. There’s a golf course and park in the same area, but I didn’t have time to investigate them.

If you have to go to Hayward..
This is a place that I can easily recommend. Great service, comfortable rooms. Super close to the airport. Hayward’s not much of nothing, but at least this place is right around the corner from a liquor store!
