what’s with the phones?
This is our 3rd stay at this property in 90 days. We arrived on Sunday night around 8 pm and were told the phones were not working. Assuming the problem was being researched, we were very surprised ro return from our 3 hours at the funeral home on Monday morning to find, nope, still not working. No sign of trucks or workmen, and no apology. Out for the afternoon and evening, back at 9:30 pm, still no phones. And no explanation. Other phones in the area were working. Tuesday was the same situation. When we checked out Wednesday morning, no phones-and then the desk said our credit card had been declined? Excuse me, we prepaid before we ever arrived at the hotel. Sorry they don’t get our business-there are plenty of other budget hotels in the area.

Disgusting
the hotel was extremely dirty. I would not want anyone I know to spend the night there. Disgusting

Wont get a good nights sleep
The first "nonsmoking"room they gave us smelled very smokey, so they were accommodating and moved us to another room. Bed was very uncomfortable. The hotel was right next to railroad tracks so it was extremely loud all night. Also right next to a busy intersection, so you could hear trucks starting and stopping all night also. Did have wireless internet, so that was a plus. Breakfast in the morning was also ok.

Posted: 15-Jan-09The floods that occurred over the summer in the state of Iowa made several railroad tracks unusable. The railroad companies were rerouting much of their traffic through Sioux City. During this guest’s stay, there was a significant increase in the amount of train activity during that time. Regarding the traffic volume at intersection - this is beyond our control, as is the train activity. We are sorry this guest had an uncomfortable stay; however, we have not received any other complaints regarding the noise from railroad traffic and intersection from other customers. We always strive for our guests to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. There are sometimes issues that occur beyond our control.
