Latham Hotel, Georgetown, WDC
The hotel is undergoing renovations, which it needs. The room was hot, the bathroom cramped and there was wall paper peeling over the bad. For the money it wasnt a good buy.

Needs some work
The first room I was assigned was in very poor condition--a horrible mildew pervaded the room and the wet ceiling corner was surely the known evidence of a problem. The room needed a thorough revamping. I was able to get a different room though it took a bit of time for the reassignment. It was not unforgivably mildewy but still offered little space, especially bathroom space, and had an older TV and other amenities. Overall this hotel, so well situated and with a fabulous restaurant (Citronelle), is a disappointment and needs to be overhauled.
Any Michel Richard restaurant is special (Citronelle, Central) as are several lovely Italian spots (Primi Piatti, Spezie, Tosca). Great restaurant town, but dont waste time in a steak house!

Good deal
Good deal for the location of the hotel on M street. Valet parking is 35$ in the hotel, but only 7$ cross street/bridge (walking distance).
