Friendly and right for the price

Loved the staff, they were very helpful and polite. We were able to get information about different things to do on the island.

Just north of the Ramada is the Sea Turtle Hospital. Inside is sick and injured sea turtles that they are nursing back to health to be released back into the sea. It’s a great opportunity to go and see these animals up close.

Great Stay

Everything was clean the breakfast was good employees were helpful not a bad place to stay will keep as option for later trip back to Padre island

I will go back if the AC temperature is fixed. Room was hot at night, got cooler around 3:00am.

Good location, not very good AC, near godd places to eat. Over all a great place to stay.

The hotel was in excellent condition, customer service was good, the breakfast was good, the pool and the jacuzzi was terrific! and the convenience of a washer and dryer was good. I had an enjoyable stay, and yes, I would be returning to the Ramada Limited.

Passable-some wear and tear clearly visable. Breakfast was better than last stay(now there is fruit, yogurt, and HB eggs) Room refrig/micro convenient. Location good. Owners are trying.

It was as advertised.

Everything was fine. It was close to everything. The breakfast was good. The pool and jacuzzi were fine. The room was fine. No surprises. Would stay there again.

The room was dirty and smelly. One of the days I had to point out were to clean in the bathroom to the maid. It look like the floor hadn’t been cleaned for months. We had ants coming out of the sink and all over the counter. The room smelled so bad. We have stayed at several places on the island and this one was the worse. I will never stay there again!!

Good Hotel

It is a good hotel close to the beach. Nice friendly staff. Clean rooms. Outside needs maintenance. Overall Good place to live.

Limited stands for something...

The Ramada Limited on South Padre Island is a cheap hotel. Therefore you should not expect too much. It’s not dirty but two bugs found their way into our room. The fridge was very loud. We booked a 1 kingsize bed room w/ jacuzzi, which was right in the bedroom. The room was large w/ two tables but only one chair. South Padre Island is such a nice place and if you use the hotel just to sleep somewhere airconditioned, it’s ok. Next time, I’ll have another hotel...

Not impressed at all.

The overall cleanliness and condition of the hotel was just fine but the hotel staff is extremely rude and made our hotel stay one that I will remember as unpleasant to say the least. I do not recommend staying in this hotel unless the staff gets a change of attitude.

Good for the price

We stayed at this hotel on our last night in South Padre Island. It was in decent shape and in a good location. Had some trouble locking the door in room 109; it locked when we slammed it shut. Best feature was the continental breakfast which included cereal, yogurt, fruit, and waffles or pancakes made on request.

Not close enough to beach. About two blocks away, but you have to cross a busy Padre Blvd.

Not all that bad

This motel is in the heart of pretty much everything on the Island. It is within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, shops and the beach. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is convenient. My family and I would stay here again.

Can’t wait to go back

The hotel was very good and it has restaurants, stores, and beach within walking distance. The only thing we did not like was having to leave a copy of my credit card and drivers license for their files.

A good deal for the price

It was more of a motel than a hotel (rooms accessibale from outside). Definite deodorizer smell. The wireless Internet service was flaky at times. Pet friendly. A lot of handicap accessible rooms. Overall a good deal for the price.

Nice stay

Great price. It is not a 5 star hotel, but it’s 2 blocks from the beach. In the heart of S.P.I., and you can bring your dog! It was comfortable, and we will be back!

needed paint, maintenance problems and roaches

Well upon arrival the place smelled like some type of insecticide. The lady at the front counter was nice. We went into the room which was very disappointing, the tub was marred with a dark stain, the trim of the walls where poorly painted, spotty, there was no inside drapes which allowed you to open up the main drapes to allow light into the room with a sheer type of cloth that gives privacy. Later we saw the reason for the smell, very large roaches on the walls of the pool area. the maintenance man was making repairs on the side walk outside of our room, twice once a chair, the next a A/C unit. I am glad we didn’t pay very much. I didn’t complain until now!!

Really didn’t like this place, we will pay the higher cost and stay at a nicer place next time.

OK place to stay during Spring Break

Overall, the hotel was adequate for our stay. The bathrooms were clean, beds are comfortable, and the overall condition was satisfactory. The only one big complaint are the carpets...they are filthy...you walk across them barefooted and your feet will turn almost black. The other complaint is they do not give you enough towels for the number of people in the room. The most we got at one time were 3, and there were 4 of us. In order to get an extra towel, you must turn in the dirty towels first. Continental breakfast was good...especially the waffles. Big warning...if you stay during spring break, you are required to put down a 250.00 deposit...which we were not made aware of. Luckily we had the extra. Also...noise level is high during spring break...lots of college kids partying throughout the night. Staff is not the friendliest.

The beach is a little ways away (says two blocks but depending on which beach access you can get to park next to)...next time I will try for a hotel that is right on the beach.

Adequate lodging

We spent one night in the Ramada during off-season. The room appeared clean; my only complaint is that we booked the room for four adults but there were only enough bath towels for three persons. The shower was especially nice -- worked well and the bathroom fixtures appeared new.

Great Value on South Padre Island

The hotel was clean, the room was spacious with king-size bed, large double dresser, loveseat, coffee table, microwave and refrigerator. Large selection of cable channels unlike some national hotel chains. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Don’t miss the Pelican’s Station Restaurant in Port Isabel,overlooking the Laguna Madre bay. It has great seafood, attentive and courteous servers, capable bartenders. The interior is very spacious, furnished with tasteful local flavor antique photographs without being cluttered or resembling a theme park. The owner is gracious and she is very interested in the pleasure of your dining experience. Don’t miss, you’ll visit more than once!

This is my second year staying at the Ramada, the managers and staff are very courteous and helpful. This is a good place to stay.
