Can’t wait to go back

This hotel was simply beautiful. Great place to stay for couples. Would not recommend bringing children. I was a little disappointed that they were not able to accomodate the complimentary room upgrade for couples celebrating anniversaries. At the time of booking, I was told that it was highly probably. Other than that, the ocean views were breath taking.

Party Vacation

Perfect hotel for lounging on a bed by the pool/beach with a cocktail all day long....but be prepared to stay up all light.

We had a good time at the resort. We booked the level which didnt give you much other that a free breakfast. The level does not give you a a suite either. Most of the staff was great. We had issues with our stay which I addressed with the company main office. They apologized that was it, no comp’s offered. Dont get me wrong it is a great place and would probably go back. The resort is hyped up a bit from what you get.

Outstanding, outstanding, outstanding in every way. One problem: the drink prices are unreasonably over-priced.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

The ME charges $4 U.S. for bottled water and $5 for a 12 ounce beer. A convienent store about 300 yards away from the resort charges 40 cent for the same water and less than $1 for the same beer. Go into town everyday and bring back a few bottled waters to get you through the day.

Fabulous time!

Our September trip to the ME Cabo was fantastic. While some of the reviews caused us concern about the complaints of loud music and party atmosphere, we did not find this at all. My husband and I found the service to be very attentive and quite enjoyed relaxing at the beautiful pool.

ME Cabo is the In-spot

My wife and I stayed at ME Cabo for a week on the Adults-only floor "The Level". The room was excellent - great view, great bed, good food. We requested a room away from the nightclub, and could not hear it at all when our door was closed. Friday and Saturday, the pool area is a great big party - lots of fun meeting people. The hotel is close enough to downtown that you can walk there no problem. We always felt safe, even late at nite. The nightclub was fun, too - we saw at least one bachelor party group and a couple bachelorette party groups, too. We were there in the offseason, tho, so it wasnt crowded by any measure. Overall, a great place to spend a vacation. I only have a couple of minor negatives- The cocktails are expensive, and the liquor is watered down. For the price, I did not expect watered-down booze. My only other complaint is that the hotel does not allow you to bring in your own food or drink. Maybe this is common in Mexico, but I’ve never had such a restriction at any other hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I believe I’m renting a hotel room, and should not be required to eat/drink from the minibar and room service.

Excellent except

A couple things....excellent place and position of the rooms to view the pool and ocean. Excellent customer service, housekeeping, facilities, bars etc... The negatives: Prices for drinks/food are comparable with that of Vegas (expensive). No shuttle service to and from town (due to the govenor of Cabo owning the only taxi service and not allowing competitors)and the music at the pool MUST BE CHANGED TO SOMETHING OTHER THAN ALL TRANCE....I HOPE someone from the hotel is reading this....that junk gets old. That stuff is not as big in the US as you may think and your hotel is 90% Americans...Cater to who visits and change it up between differnt types of music...Everyone at the pool agreed. Aside from these issues, excellent place and top notch care from staff.

It’s a party hotel so just make sure your not expecting a quite honeymoon type enviorment if your there during a party weekend...Stop on the way there and buy your own alcohol.

IT WAS THE BEST!

The hotel overall was wonderful. My husband and I were there from 08/06/09-08/11/09. We had a lot of full and meet some cool people. Be sure to go downtown, it was nice and appeared safe. No problems. Food is a little over priced on the resort but it was good.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Be sure to check out some of the restaraunts on the beach The Office and The Mango Bar. Much more reasonalbe on the prices and great food. The venders on the beach, be sure to negotiate prices. They are very flexiable. Pay for transportation round trip to and from the airport with expedia it was worth it. Bypass the timeshare people at the airport.

Don’t plan your party here!!

The hotel it self was fabulous but we went down for a friends wedding and I feel as though they were totally taken advantage of. At the reception, the hotel charged them $225 American dollars for 1 bottle of Grey Goose Vodka!!!!!! The day of the wedding the couple switched rooms to the honeymoon suite, the hotel called them in the morning and told them they had to be out of their room by 10 and that the suite would not be ready for them until 3! On the day of their wedding??? Other than that the hotel was really nice, and everyone was very helpful. Don’t know that I would go back?

gorgeous...BUT

beautiful hotel for adults, nice not to have kids around, hotel is extremely expensive, everything, beyond reason, drinks are way watered down and be ready to pay a large price, food isn’t great, just okay. Location to city is perfect, you can walk less than 10 minutes down the road, hotel is gorgeous, service is excellent, rooms are beautiful...be ready to pay and then some!

Awesome!

This hotel is located in such a great area of Cabo. It’s minutes away from Downtown Cabo - you can walk straight to the shopping center, marina, etc. The pool is amazing! It’s not that big, but it has a swim up bar, which makes up for it. Music is on 24/7 so depends if you like it or not. Didn’t bother us much. The party is always on at this hotel! Go-go dancers at the pool, fire dancers at night, food is great, drinks are good, and the club is in the hotel! Doesn’t get any better than that. If you want different food, just walk straight out to the beach and beach front restaurants are steps away... The best beds/lounging areas by the pool, by far! No plastic chairs here... :) All in all, a great place to stay and would def. come back to ME!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Check out Puerto Paraiso (shopping center). Just a walk down the street from ME Cabo. Or take a taxi (just a couple of dollars). There is a Johnny Rockets, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Senor Sweets, etc. And the marina is right there too. Lots to see, eat, do and shop there in that area.

Party Like a Rock Star!!!!!!!!!!!

Never Fails, this is my second time in ME and once again my wife and I had a great time. This place feels more like South of France rather than Mexico. The pool is a total part atmosphere and the music does not stop. If you don’t like European House music don’t bother coming here. The DJ’s are top notch and the people are beautiful. Lot of eye candy!!! The food and alcohol is very reasonable and the service is awesome. make sure to tip around you will be treated like royalty. The beach is awesome because of it’s location you don’t get the waves so you can actually swim in it. It is very close to downtown and shopping. Make sure to see Oscar at the Nikki Beach Restaurant on the beach he will take very good care of you. Try the Lobster Tacos and the Angus Burger... It’s Dynamite!!! If you are looking for a quiet relaxation vacation DO NOT COME HERE!!!! This place is for party people only... Because that is just what you will do the minute you step foot in this resort.

living in paradise

Hello all, Well what can I say about this resort that has not been already mentioned in other reviews. Oh i got one it was awesome! it was like living in a MTV video for a whole week. Luckly, we got a very nice room right on the beach and overlooking the pool best of both worlds. room 119 the best room period and I have stayed in other rooms before but this one takes the cake. Our consierge was great he gave us all the right tips on wish restaurants to visit for the nite he even booked our resevations for us..I could keep going on and on about this resort but I will give you a break so you can read the other reviews... remember room 119.. forgetaboutit.:))

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

IF your going to cabos be warned of the saturation of sales people trying to sell you or give you something for free as soon as you come out of the airport. My suggestion walk quickly to the front door and get on a mini bus with a few other vacationers and save a few bucks.

CABO for Lovers

The ME is designed and set up for lovers and single young people. The constant sex beat of the music around the pool is a little much and the 2:00 noise of the youngsters getting in from the bars is as well. Other than that it is a great resort and I would stay there again. I would not take my kids!

Excel Hip Resort

This is the greatest resort in Cabo. If you enjoy hip music and a beautiful crowd this is the place to stay. Convenient location, walking distance from all the hot spot in down town. The view is simply amazing and service is perfect.

What an awesome place!

This place was awesome! The only thing I would say negative about this place is upon arrival watch out for the people to your right who come up to you to tell you about the hotel. They DO NOT WORK for the hotel. They are trying to sell you timeshare. If someone does not have a "ME" shirt on they do not work there. The room was nice except for the shower. The water pressure was very low. We were in room 335 and we could not hear the club music at all. Now to the best part. The pool. We were at the pool every day. I read about the music but we arrived on Monday and the music did not get loud until Thursday but that is what made us stay at the pool. The service for drinks was excellent there too! This is a great location and super close to downtown. No need for a cab ride. It was about a 5-7 min walk there.

Great for scene seekers

ME Cabo is so very comfortable. My new hubby and I referred to the bed as the "narcolepsy bed". But the pounding club music blasting from the pool all day made us wish we’d asked for a room away from the pool. It’s filled with people looking to be in the "scene". Great location, though and great bar overlooking the beautiful bay.

Cabo is the most expensive city in Mexico! Don’t count on drinking wine with dinner. No bottle at any restaurant under $100!

Cleaniest Hotel and Bets Location in Cabo San Lucas

Best Location in Cabo San Lucas. Right on Medano Beach to go swimming and within a three minute taxi ride from the marina (shops and restaurants). Hotel itself was cleaniest environment i ever was in, all tap water was purified, no worries about ice or salad here! Definitley will go back!

Mi Casa in downtown Cabo San Lucas was great, The Office restaurant was the best natural setting i ever experienced in a restaurant.

Ideally located

The hotel was situated on Medano Beach, which is good for swimming. Great views of Lands End from hotel room. Walking distance to town. Fun place to stay.

Swine flu doesn’t exist in Cabo

We stayed at this hotel during the breakout of the "swine flu" scare, so it wasn’t as lively as some of the other reviews claim. It was still a very nice place to stay though. The rooms were clean, the service was great, and the beach was amazing. If you choose not to stay at this hotel at least make sure you choose a hotel along the beach, especially if you want to swim or do some water sports. There were also some decent places to eat along the beach near the hotel. Overall it was a great stay even through the swine flu scare.

Traveler's tip on shopping

Make sure you convert your dollars to pesos. Not all places will give you the same exchange rate, so you may not get as much for your dollar at one place as you would at another. Try to have both dollars and pesos, and use whichever is convenient.

Come here to party but not relax

This hotel really caters to a partying crowd.Two bloody mary drinks cost $35. The atmosphere is really cool with rock history everywhere. However, once the party crowd begins to filter in to hang out at the hotels two main venues, let the games begin. The walls of the hotel are incredibly thin so you can hear the thud of bass from the music in the late night hours. Had a massage, but of the spa seemed like an after thoughts as it has no windows and is directly below the pool. The $170 massage mixed with the sound check for music was terrible. However, the spa staff was awesome. Pricey and loud...guess that’s rock and roll.

Unless your last name is Tyler or Jagger, your family probably won’t jive in this rock and roll atmosphere...better to have the kids stay at the Gaslamp Hilton next door.

Love the House Music!

This hotel has a Miami or Vegas vibe with house music playing by the pool all day--if you’re into peace and quiet then this might not be your place. If you like a fun, young crowd, then you’ll love it!

Delivers unique atmosphere, but starting to run down

I love the ME Cabo hotel. This is a unique hotel with a modern vibe. My kids that are 17 and 11 love this hotel because it is like an MTV video! And my husband and I love it because we are still kids too! The ME is on a premium Medano Beach which offers great waiter service and comfortable beach beds. The merchants can bother some, but we know it is their way of life and feel that if they are willing to walk on the hots sands, we can oblige by purchasing their goods or a polite no. The only disappointment this last trip would be the last upgraded suite did not have a fully functioning entertainment center (premium channels, iPod enhancement). The staff moved us promptly but only to find the same problem. Also, if you are around on the weekend understand that music can get pretty loud around the pool. However, this is a precursor to getting people into their nightclub later in the evening. Overall, we enjoy the staff and the ambiance and will be returning next week for more fun!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

You can purchase water and snacks in their gift shop for almost have the price of their $9 Fiji waters. Also, since you are located near downtown and on Medano Beach, there are plenty of areas you can walk to eat if you find the selection or prices hefty. However, the room service is VERY reasonable!

Nice but.....

The hotel’s location is its draw. Nikki Beach is a plus and the staff is nice. The Level rooms are a waste of money, seriously! You pay for concierge service that’s never available.

Waaay to loud

If you’re going to the beach to relax, maybe this is not the best place to stay. The noise never stopped, even in my room it was totally loud.
