You know what you are getting....
That’s the nice thing about Marriott. There are no surprises. The rooms are exactly what you expect, the facilities are good, and the employees have always been pleasant, helpful, and professional. I can always count on Marriott coming through for me.

Not in a good neighborhood
I expected this hotel, being in the Marriott chain and also being in Marina del Rey, to be relatively nice. Almost all the businesses in the surrounding area were closed and had fences around them (not a good sign). It made it really hard to even get in the parking lot. The lobby was deceiving because it was pretty nice. The rooms were bare bones..even the bedding was gross. Everything in the rooms was pretty old, they definitely need to be fluffed up. The parking lot at night was pretty scary. It was lit however, so we made sure to park under a light. The general crowd was pretty unsavory. We definitely won’t be going back to that Marriott, now or in the future.

Stay at the Marriott looking over the harbor in Marina del Rey..that’s where we’ll be staying next time.

Clean, pleasant, staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the MDR area.
