alright for low budget, can’t beat the price!
Excellent location in Kona, clean room, mediocre continental breakfast, lovely swimming pool, but priced fare for clean and safe hotel. You can’t find a better priced hotel room in paradise on a low budget.
Keep to the posted speed limits on the roads.

good basic hotel, centrally located
We were very pleased. An older hotel, but well maintained. Sort of a motel 6 level. The grounds are really pretty, the lanai area is pleasant, breakfast is great, the ocean is across the street, reasonably priced. Centrally located, easy to drive or walk. The staff was courteous and helpful. It was recommended to us by two people who had lived in Hawaii. One thing though, we were surprised that we had to pay extra for parking behind the building.

Fine for sleeping, showering, and storing personal items
The hotel room was not exceptionally clean, but not terribly dirty. The fridge in the room was wonderful since we traveled with two small children. The tub was large enough to bathe the kids. The bathroom was very small. The air conditioner made the room tolerable, but not cool by any means of the word. The unexpected cockroach vistor made me uneasy, but it was only once during the visit. Since the kids didn’t count as guests, the hotel only provided two towels for my husband and I and none for the kids (extra towels would’ve been $5/towel/day-we borrowed extra towels from our family in Kona). Overall, for the price and proximity to family, we might stay here again but are leaning more toward a more kid friendly location next time.
