grandson visit
went to visit grandson attending 1st yr at university of the pacific in stockton. had no knowledge of the area but was very lucky with expedia and choice of a great hotel very close to univeristy and on one of the 2 main streets nearby there was plenty of resturant choices, shopping and all other needs and best of all, the closness to I-5 freeway to return to sacramento airport was the wonderful. my room was outstanding with balcony and security entrance to that part of the hotel. my first ramada hotel visit but not my last if the ramada chain exhibits the same standard of quality.

just a warning
I stayed at the Ramada for four days. Overall the hotel was nice. The room was clean, a good size, had mini fridge and microwave, and it was next to a grocery store. My issues are few. The fitted sheets were old and didn’t stay on the bed. I like to start my day with a dip in the Jacuzzi and it wasn’t heated in the morning. My biggest issue is that they charged me the security fee accidently. I brought it to their attention, the front desk said not to worry about it. Then a week later it was still was a charge on my account. I had to call several times and another week’s wait to get the money back into my account. This is probably not a common issue but if you stay here just watch for it.

Not good
There was a huge dark brown stain on a hanging bath towel when we checked into our room. Tried to call housekeeping only to find both room phones were not working. Finally used our cell phone to make the outside call to the front desk and was told they didn’t have any one in housekeeping (8:30 pm). The front desk person was not helpful and almost seemed annoyed when we asked questions. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly very good. There were quite a few items to choose from, along with a variety of beverages.
