European style elegance

Beautiful property with professional, attentive staff. This hotel was worth the money on all counts. Fairly centrally located and within walking distance of many attractions, museums, shops. Will return there.

Fall in Montreal

Nice hotel with helpful staff. I would stay at this hotel on my next visit to Montreal. It is close to shopping and dinning. The room was spacious, well decorated and clean. There was some noise from the street outside but not enough to be annoying.

Excellent Montreal Hotel

Loews Hotel Vogue is a beautiful hotel with excellent service. From the minute you pull up out front, you receive excellent service. It is in a great location - walking distance to numerous restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs. The lounge in the lobby is quaint but a bit pricier than the other bars nearby. We always enjoy going to Thursdays - across the street in Hotel de la Montagne - beautiful old world architecture and a very busy but always fun happy hour. Hurleys is a traditional Irish pub one block down on Crescent Street - awesome architecture and 18 beers on tap. Winston and Gavinos on Crescent - across from the front side of Thursdays is really cool and has excellent homemade pasta and bread. Dundees on the corner of Crescent is also very good with a 2 for 1 happy hour on Fridays. And don’t forget Pino’s for the best eggs benedict I have ever had. Excellent hotel and an excellent location.

elegant

This was truly a wonderful experience, and they really do have the best bathrooms. The room was more than spacious, luxurious, beautiful, very comfortable. It felt like a honeymoon. Also, great location. We’ll be talking about it for quite a while. Great service.

Traveler's tip

This is the place when you want to splurge a bit and pamper yourself.

Superb comfort, elegant setting, Montreal at it’s best!

This hotel provides understated luxury in a wonderfully convenient location. Central to Montreal’s main shopping area, and a cab ride away to charming Old Montreal. Hotel personnel are warm, welcoming, very helpful. Upon checkout I discovered my flight had been cancelled and I had been put on a much later flight. The hotel staff graciously returned my room key, and I returned upstairs to rest until it was time to leave for the airport. This was my second stay, and be assured will not be my last.

Excellent location for shopping and resturants.

Every bit of what I expected and more! I would stay there again in a heart beat. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great little resturant will excellent food. All in all a tremendous value that allows you to really enjoy yourself in a lovely town.

Traveler's tip on shopping

Located in the midst of the Golden Mile Shopping. You can walk to everything. Old Montreal is only a 10 minute cab ride.

A Wonderful Hotel

The hotel lobby was smaller than on the Internet picture which made it more appealing to me. I had an excellent room overlooking the back block without any noise whatsoever. The bathroom was beautiful, the bed linens were wonderful, the room was spacious and the location was the absolute best. A wonderful upscale department store across the street named Ogilvy’s was available for the rich and famous to shop in and on St. Catherine’s Street there were miles of stores for the common man. The subway stop was also a short hike away and various categories of restaurants were all within a block of the hotel. The hotel also had an upscale restaurant and bar which looked great, but I never frequented them since I preferred to eat cheaper on the outside. Wonderful nightclubs ranging from Salsa clubs to beer dives were also a stone’s throw away along with the Grayline Tour Bus Depot a block away. The Museum of Fine Art was also a block or two away. I would definitely go back to this wonderfully located hotel.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Mike’s restaurant, apparently a Montreal chain restaurant on St. Catherine’s Street, serves good breakfast lunch and dinner for not bad prices, considering the US Dollar is weaker than the Canadian dollar at this time. The ambiance is a bit like a sports bar but the food is very good.

Nice Hotel

Nice hotel. The location is not ideal, a little far from the subway or from the main downtown area. Service is excellent, rooms are clean and comfortable. The lower floors rooms have no view to speak of (facing a parking lot). Overall a good experience but would try another one next time I’m in Montreal

A High End destination

Definitely enjoyed my stay here. The staff was helpful and did not have any attitude. If they did not have an answer to a question, they found one. J-Lo stayed in the hotel that weekend so if it’s good enough for her, it’s good enough for anyone else! The staff even produced a set of cufflinks for me to borrow when I forgot mine.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

A block away from Crescent street, the tourist district. I suggest cabbing it to St. Laurent, the swankier lounge and restaurant area.

A perfect hotel.

This hotel has set the standard by which I will judge all others. A courteous and attentive staff, clean room, comfortable mattress, in-room safe are just some of its benefits. The location was great. The adjoining restaurant provides gourmet quality.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Took a walking tour that started in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral. Worth the time to learn a bit about old Montreal.

Very dated, uneven service.

Chose this hotel for the last night of trip because it’s downtown (I stayed in the Old Port area for the first leg) and I knew a taxi would be available for my very-early-morning departure. What I found was entirely different from what I was led to expect by the luxe descriptions here and on the hotel’s Web site. The entire hotel is very dated, from the jumbled lobby with blaring music and depressing bar, down to the pink and gray marble and vinyl wallpaper in the (Premium level room) bathroom. We received a notice telling us that the evening turn-down skipped us because we were in the room, and that we should call to have it done. We did, and it wasn’t. Only one set of towels for each guest (medium quality, and on the small side). Had to phone for extras so we could have dry ones in the morning. Shower had one of those cheap, one-piece floor pans, and very basic white ceramic tile, yet other surfaces were "luxury" pink marble. Jet tub was nice, and the TV you could watch while bathing was cool. Good bathrobes, but no slippers, and the carpet was not something I wanted to touch with my bare feet. Worst ... our room was across from the elevator, so we had to listen to the whoosh of the elevator shaft all night, EVEN THOUGH I informed the hotel, when I booked, that we had a very early flight the next morning!!! Give this mediocre hotel a miss.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Walk all around the Old Port area, not just the tourist center of it. Nice hotels down there. Take a boat tour on the river, if the weather is good. A good short tour (45 minutes) is the electric boat (I forget its name).

Excellent Location!!!

This is a very classy hotel located in the heart of Montreal downtown. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is excellent. I just loved the location of this hotel which is minutes from a subway stations and also the Saint-Catherine street which is teeming with a lot of brands in shoes, clothes, you name it. Will stay here next time, every time!!

Excellent hotel for business or pleasure

Loews Hotel Vogue was a great high-end hotel experience. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Located conveniently in the downtown area, there is easy (a few blocks’ walk) to the metro system that carries you quickly to Vieux Montreal and more tourist destinations. The staff was very helpful and recommended wonderful restaurants not far from the hotel. Our stay was an unexpected highlight of the trip.

Like sleeping on a cloud!

The Hotel was beautiful. It is located right off of Rue St.Catherine (major shopping centre)and was enjoyable to return home to after a long day of shopping. The room itself was very luxurious and had an entire wall of windows. Our room had the dreamiest king size bed, all white, and a superb mattress - my back never felt so good. The hotel staff was very helpful and extremely pleasant. I would definitely stay at this Loew’s again.

Traveler's tip on dining

Don’t bother wandering out on to busy St. Catherines to find a place to dine - just one street from the hotel lies a diverse palate of places to eat. Many places have terraces to dine from and the people watching is great entertainment - day or night.

Wonderfully comfortable room - large room and bathroom

Beautiful room- very plush - bathroom had a sunker tub with whirlpool and a very large glass enclosed shower - bed was very comfortable and high end - will definetly look for a Loew’s on my next visit.

Traveler's tip on dining

Montreal has many choices with good ethnic balance - we come from New York so we were acustomed to high end restaurants - Montreal didn’t disapoint -

Fantastic service and location

Near lots of restaurants. Property in excellent condition and staff all very friendly. I was a bit worried about only being able to speak English, but I didn’t feel "looked down on" by anyone at the hotel.

A wonderful visit

The hotel exceeded our expectations. Nice location in the middle of shopping and restaurants. The staff was gracious and helpful. The rooms were wonderfully comfortable. Great big tubs! The weather in Montreal was not good but the hotel made all the difference! I’m telling everyone about it.

Great hotel, great location.

Having visited Montreal many times, we decided to check out Hotel Vogue. Very good choice. Great location downtown near all the shops and the metro, extremely comfortable bed and more towels than I have ever gotten at a hotel. The small cardio workout room was also great.

Absolutely Wonderful

Fabulous hotel. The only hitch was that we were initially put in a smoking room, but not only did they immediately fix the problem while we went to dinner, they upgraded our room, moved our luggage for us and had flowers and classical music playing for our return from dinner! Simply a wonderful hotel.

Stay here!

This hotel was excellent! We were traveling with 2 young children and my parents, we had a junior suite and a regular room, both were spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The junior suite is 2 very large rooms and 2 bathrooms. The service was excellent. The restaurant in the hotel was very good too. We had room service frequently and that was quick and delicious. The location could not be better. You walk outside your hotel and you are in the middle of downtown Montreal.

The hotel has partnered with Fisher Price and is fully equipped for young children, don’t bring a thing. They even had small bathrobes, very nice touch!
