Great place to stay
We really enjoyed this hotel. There was a problem with our room and the problem was solved immediately. The accommodations were very comfortable and the location is great.

Lots of room
The Positives: This is a great place to stay if you have your own transportation to get around and need a place with lots of room. We had a two bedroom suite with living and dining areas and the suite also had a full kitchen. My partner and I had our own room with privacy and so did my mother in law who stayed in her own room. We were able to have family guests over for visits and dining. There is a mall with many shopping amenities and restaurants right across the street. A gym was a 5 minute drive and nearby for us to work out everyday. The Inn provided free passes to the gym. The Negatives: This is the third time we stayed in one of these suites at the Tall Grass Inn. On the first two visits, they had both wireless and high speed internet cable access in the suites. However, on this visit they did away with the high speed internet cable access and only had wireless internet. That was a disappointment since we did not have a lap top that was set up for wireless.

Very cozy hotel
If the pillows had been soft and not hard as a rock I would have been very happy. I would recommend that people bring their own pillows. The hotel is a little old but very cozy and I liked having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. I was disappointed that the complimentary breakfast didn’t start earlier on Saturday as we had to be out of the hotel by 7 a.m. The shopping center across the street was excellent.

Great Hotel
This is one of the best hotel rooms that I have stayed in, in a very long time. I have stayed at some of the 5 star hotels and this one provided plenty of space and the cookout BBQ/Grill night on Thursdays was a great idea.

Surprisingly disappointing...
We were initially pleased, as the location was ideal for us and the rooms had a somewhat secluded feel. It went downhill from there. We stayed in the low-end ’suite’ which was surprisingly small. From day one, our ice maker (a potentially great feature) didn’t work and was never repaired despite 2 repair requests. The bathroom mirror lights didn’t work either (my husband finally fixed those himself after 2 days). The queen-sized bed and pillows were almost unbearably uncomfortable (may have just been us but ugh!) A few added amenities would have made a huge difference, such as a nightstand and reading lamp on BOTH sides of the bed and a mirror in the room, not just the bathroom. On a bright note, the a/c was fabulous, the room very quiet and the staff friendly enough. Weighing all, however, I doubt I would stay again.

A spacious suite
We loved how much space we had...two bedrooms with two private bathrooms, a large kitchen, and a large living room with a working fireplace. The management provided free internet access wherein I could stay in touch with work and friends. Another plus was the hotel’s proximity to excellent shopping and restaurants. Yet another plus was free access to the Genesis Fitness Center.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Be sure to rent a car...that is how everyone gets around in this town. Also be sure to get to Old Town and sample some of the restaurants. It is about a 15 minute drive from the hotel. Don’t miss the Wichita Art Museum.
