Very clean and comfortable
Although not walkable to the city center (i.e. Plaka), Metropolitan has its shuttle that goes back and forth every hour. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff was friendly enough.

A Pleasant Surprise
Nice hotel, busy lobby, construction nearby. Had an NCL presence which helped us tremendously in getting to the port to catch a cruise boat the next day. Top floor restaurant/pool with good view. Complimentary shuttle to and from Syntagma Square. Room was comfortable but rather small for a 5-star hotel. Front desk helpful but somewhat reserved and not overly friendly.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Use their free shuttle to get to and from Syntagma Square if you want to see the Acropolis - do NOT use it if you are thinking of travelling to the hotel from the airport via metro unless you know Athens well. It was chaotic at the pickup/drop-off point at the bank. We took a bus back to the hotel and had a great time riding with the "locals" when we returned to the hotel after visiting the Acropolis late at night. If you’re going to the port, take a cab!
