Oxford Suites Pendleton

Not bad for Pendleton!!

The Oxford is in a convenient location off of the highway and I did not notice any traffic noise during my stay. Very clean and well managed with a nice bar and a cute store with plenty of snacks to choose from.

Excellent hotel

The Oxford Suites Pendleton was clean, comfortable and a great place to stay. The staff were courteous and helpful. The hot breakfast was excellent and served quickly. I would stay here again.

The staff was the most pleasant we have seen in years. The front desk went out of their way to make sure we were 100% satisfied!!

We won’t be back

The first non-smoking room we were given had such a strong smoky smell we asked to be moved and were accomodated. The next room smelled better. Our room had a sofa bed we intended to use to split up our kids but the mattress was so thin and worn it was not usable. Toilet made a weird noise every time it was used, furniture and carpet stained and worn.

Great hotel for family or business

Hotel was very nice, clean and the breakfast buffet included was great as well. Nice pool and hot tub for my family. Definately recommend for the cost.

Could be better

The "free" breakfast was not as nice as I have had at some other hotels. It was better than the contenental (cold) breakfasts that I have had before. They did not provide any fresh fruit, especially that could be used on the cold breakfast cereal. I did enjoy the evening drinks provided but could have done better with the snacks provided.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Go to the Indian Cultural center and do the Pendleton Blanket Mill. For sure, do the Underground Tour of the old city.

Great Place

Very nice rooms but the best part is the evening reception and breakfast. The bar/dining area is nicely furnished and the staff very customer service oriented. There is an outside area with tables and chairs. The view of the Pendleton hills and small city is fun. The evening reception with beer/wine and snacks as well as the breakfast is included in the room rate.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

About a 3 hour drive away is the John Day Fossil beds. There is a new national parks service vistor center(sheep rock unit) that is terrific. The Cant Ranch is about one quarter mile down the road and has hugh lawn areas and picnic tables. No food service at either the vistor center or the Cant Ranch....so bring your own. Very worth the trip. Maps for hiking trails...short and long can be found at the vistor center.

Wish I had more time

My husband and I stayed the night with our 1 year old during an eight day road trip. The room was large with plenty of space for her to roam around and the bed was very comfortable. We got in late and left early so we didn’t spend much time but the staff was incredibly nice, there looked to be a very good pool and the free breakfast was the best of our entire trip -- all for a great price. I definately wish we had more time to spend there and if I am ever in the area again I would definately choose this hotel.

Nice place to stay

We were there for a swim meet. The hotel was just a a couple of miles away. Great access to and from the swim park.

Great Hotel

Great service oriented hotel with an evening manger’s reception. Each weeknight there is a reception which provides finger foods and two complimentary drinks. This hotel is next to Walmart Supercenter and the interstate. Very convenient location.

Extremely helpful staff. We checked in after the evening reception was supposed to be over, and the gal waited until we could get our plates. Very willing front desk staff to assist with even little details. My second stay here and both great. Only marked down because I found 2 bobby pins on the floor.

Great amenities

Great hotel with one of the best continental breakfasts I’ve experienced, with just one negative. My stay was over a weekend and the weekend hours of the breakfast start an hour later than weekdays (7am vs 6am), so my schedule didn’t allow me to take advantage of the breakfast for two of the three days I was there. Otherwise, no complaints.

Make sure to ask for eggs to order - the breakfast lady will not offer it - and get there early - all the food was cold 1 hour prior to ending

Front desk person was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and cheery. I read that they had a vcr in room, but actually had dvd player. Pool was too cold, but kids enjoyed it.

Best place to stay in Pendleton!

Totally enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very gracious and accomodating, and the FREE buffet breakfast was WAY better than we ever expected. Well worth the price considering "breakfast is included" in the price! Will definately stay here again.

Business Travel

The hotel makes traveling for business comfortable. The receptions in the evenings during the week and the breakfast in the morning make being away from home a little easier. The rooms are comfortable. A bargain for the price.

Fine rooms but smoking

I booked a non-smoking room and they gave me a smoking room, saying that i only requested a non-smoking room. I called to try and fix the problem, but they did nothing.

Will definitely return!

Had a great stay at the Oxford Suites Pendleton. Staff was great, breakfast was nice to have, although not the most elaborate we’ve experienced. Clean indoor pool and jacuzzi. Would definitely return to stay again.
