Very good people.
I have no problem with the staff at this Hotel, from the desk clerks to the maids, to the pool service technicians. Some were excellent. The main issue with this hotel is the decor. I have never stayed in such an ugly room. Granted, my wife is a picky designer, but we came within a inches of packing up and leaving. Our room looked out an the freeway embankment and a sidewalk. There was no natural light anyway, but we couldnt really open our blinds because of the foot traffic. The highway noise woke us early. Our trip was saved by a desk clerk who upgraded us to a suite on the second floor, facing Cheyenne Mountain to the north. The room was still ugly, but it was big, we could open the blinds, and once the storm blew away, we had an okay view. My folks stayed at the Doubletree across the street. It was much more expensive, but probably worth it. BW has no restaurant, no lounge, they didnt service their breakfast bar. The gym equipment was all broken, (treadmill didnt elevate, bike had no resistance, and the stair-climber was broken too, but I dont remember the specifics) and the hot-tub was set on "cold."
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Downtown area is very nice- Try somewhere down there. Better restaurants, I think.
