Good location for lots of activities
At first we werent sure where to pick up the keys, as the address Expedia provided was off a bit. For the Tyra condos, pick up keys at BlueSky, on Snowflake Lane. Also, unlike regular hotels with a 3pm check-in time, check-in time for these condos is 4pm. Once we got that sorted out, our stay was great. The Tyra condos are right along the 4 OClock run. We were there in July so no skiing, but we could walk up to the Peak8 Fun Park (fun, if overpriced). Comfortable furnishings, nice floorplan, usable kitchen. More generally, Breckenridge is a nice central point for summertime adventures. The drive out from Denver was reasonable, we were about an hour away from some great whitewater rafting through Browns Canyon, and just 15-20 minutes from Frisco/Dillon, where we caught a movie. The bike trail system in the region is truly impressive as well. Overall a great trip, and the Tyra condos were a great choice for our family (including 3 boys between 10 & 14).
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Go whitewater rafting through Browns Canyon on the Arkansas River. There are plenty of companies that offer half-day or full-day trips. Our full-day trip (with a steak lunch in the middle) cost ~$80 per person, which feels expensive until you do it. Its worth it, so just build it into your budget and have fun.

This condo was in a beautiful section of Breckenridge. I bet the square footage was close to 1200 sf. A super vacation experience.

summertime is time for the staff to slack
I might of been expecting too much, but I always like to get what I feel like I deserve. Upon arrival it was diffucult to find the front desk for checkin since it was located in another building. Next they gave me a form to fill out as to detail the faults of the room - I felt like I was renting an apartment. Shouldnt that be their responsibility. I took this vacation to avoid the paperwork. The hot tub was a mess. No towels at the pool. No maid service. I brought the pool issues to the staffs attention and I guess they were too preoccupied with daydreaming about snow Hating tourists or just didnt want to deal with it . I discovered some info that left a sour taste in my mouth about the citys feelings towards tourists. I dont think I will visit this condo or town ever again. I will just stick with Utah where I can blend in with the big city when not on the mountain.
