Imperial
Rooms are very small, showers spray all over the bathroom because in most rooms, they are not enclosed showers, rather have a quarter of the shower with a panel, the rest open, thereby drenching the entire bathroom. Other than that, the rooms are typically sized, very clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Great location
The staff were very helpful and the location was great. It was close to the main train station so you can use the train to transfer from/to the Airport. There is a Metro station cross the street so it was very easy to go around. Wallman theater, Tivoli and a lot of good restaurants were so close. Rooms are small but comfortable. We tried Breakfast buffet and it was over priced.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
September was the best month to travel as its not very crowded. The weather was great and its worth to rent a bike and ride it around the city. Food is overpriced and there are a lot of good varities of "All you can Eat" restaurants.

Lacks Consistency!
We decided on the Superior Double room which was very comfortable and spacious especially by European standards in this price range. We were able to check in early in the morning, but were disappointed that over the course of our three day stay there was no hot water one day, no internet service another and the early morning wake up call that we had requested on our departure day never happened. Pack a back up alarm if you choose to stay and need to catch an AM flight! We will likely try another hotel when we return.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Vesterport (Metro) Station is directly across the street and it has escalators which made for easy transport to and from the airport with our bags! Food is VERY expensive in the city. There is a grocery store 1/2 block from the hotel which allowed for cheap(er) breakfasts.

Wonderful staff. Very eager to assist. Small rooms.
Room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Found that the room was very small and had little area to store or open more than one suitcase at a time. Our purpose was a pre cruise visit to Copenhagen. We found our room on the ship to be larger and have much more space to store belongings, but I guess that is typical of European hotels. The room had no area to hang clothing either. The food in the restaurant was very good and breakfast is included if you book by phone. Great location. Dont miss Tivoli Gardens across the street.

Copenhagen-great stay
Just picked it from the long list provided by Expedia. Very nice and located in the action of central Copenhagen as well close to train station for trip to and from airport. While not a budget price it is well worth price. Would use it or any hotel in the ARP-Hansen Hotel Group in that city.

Excellent location, great hotel
This hotel is walking distance to Trivoli historical amusement park and all the attractions of the central Copenhagen. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern, clean and we even got a little view of a lake. Breakfast is not included but at 120 Kroner (About $30) it is a great value for Denmark, which included house baked breads, rolls, eggs, bacon, coldcuts, fruits etc. Overall we highly recommend this hotel and cannot thing of any shortcomings.

Not Impressed
We had requested an early check in, but when we arrived were told they were unable to accomodate our request. The air conditioning in our room was not working and when we asked the desk to check on the problem they said they would look into it for us. Their solution to the problem was to open the windows. We did get them to move us to another room the next day. We are sure they knew they had a problem with the air conditioning in the room because there was a fan in the room. I can not believe they would put people in a hotel room with no air conditioning. We requested a refund for the night, but were told because we pre-paid they could not do this; however, they did provide breakfast. Staff could be more helpful and knowledgeable about the area and restaurants.

Convenient, clean and quiet!
The Imperial is in an ideal location, within easy walking distance of most attractions in Copenhagen and only a block or two from the main train station. They very considerately put us on an upper floor facing the courtyard, so no noise even if we opened the windows--which we didnt have to, as they have air conditioning. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Dont miss the "round tower," which is the oldest astronomical observatory in Europe. Peter the Great rode his horse up the inclined ramp to the top--great view of the city. And a cost-saving tip: two grocery stores are within a block of the Imperial, and brie and wine are among the most reasonably-priced foods there. If youre not extremely hungry, it makes a great light meal--and inexpensive.

breakfast cost
We were not told in advance the cost of the buffet breakfast. It was $28 per person! I believe that even by expensive Copenhagen standards that this is outrageous! The breakfast was slightly above average, but I have never met a breakfast that was worth $28 per person.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Go to the nearby train station for a quicky inexpensive breakfast. Do not eat breakfast at the hotel unless you are an oil sheik with a need to burn money.

What a deal!
It sounded good... and the price through Expedia was great, so we signed on. The Imperial is a four-star hotel, a short walk from Tivoli Gardens, the main train station, restaurants, and even a movie theater. The hotel was excellent, the staff competent and friendly, the room spacious and extremely comfortable. Caveat: if the outstanding breakfast buffet is not included in your stay, be prepared to pay around $30 pp.

Imperial Hotel - Great Modern Hotel
The hotel was great. The rooms were very modern and clean. It was in a great location; few blocks from the train station and also the main shopping area. I would definitely stay at the Imperial Hotel again. Well worth the price.

July in Copenhagen
The hotel met all of our expectations and exceeded them in service. Morten and Krystal at the front desk have doubled as concierge with recommendations for restaurants, travel and directions for nearby attractions. And, this afternoon we ended up taking the train back to town...the station is (subterrainian)in front of the hotel. Great location.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The double decker bus is always a great way to see the main attractions...but walking the streets is so rewarding. Dont miss the castle and the palace, the Carlsburg brewery, the boat tour. THe natives are very friendly and helpful. But pack your umbrellas, just in case.

Good location
The hotel is somewhat stark, or maybe it is just Danish modern. It is in a good location - close to both Tivoli Garden and the train station - but the surrounding streets seemed safe eough but tend to be some what trash-strewen.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
If going to Tivoli Garden, do it in the evening. Also, do not be put off by the somwhat shoddy exterior of the park as the inside is wonderful.

Very nice hotel
The hotel is in a good location within walking distance of the train station and is very nice. They offer free internet access on their computers and the rooms are decent size and clean.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Dont go to Tivoli unless you are looking to listen to music or eat... theres not much to see.

Cool room design - poor function.
The hotel is attractive and in a great location (walking distance to the train station and center of city). The staff was helpful and nice. Upon checking in, we were given a very nice room on the top floor with a balcony. I think they may be rehabbing the hotel and only certain rooms were complete. When we got to the room it was small, but not nearly as small as some of the other rooms we saw when the maids were cleaning. The room had recently been completed with modern updates. However, some of these updates were questionable. Such as a frosted glass bathroom door (with clear lettering to see thru) and a 2" gap at the bottom of the door. Cool design, but no privacy and it lit up the room if it was dark and another person was trying to sleep. The tub was small and no shower curtain - only a small clear glass door which did not extend to the end of the tub. Lots of water leaked out. No towel hooks. Also, we had one day with no hot water since the electricity went out, but it was fixed by the late afternoon. Overall, I might stay there again since the price was pretty good and the rooms were newer - just not as functional as they could be.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
This hotel is close to everything. We walked everywhere in Copenhagen and its also right next to either the central train station or the subway train.

Great Location; Would return
This hotel is a short 2 block walk from the train station and within walking distance to the Town Square, Tivoli Gardens and other attractions. Service was excellent, with the exception of one rude bartender, but managment took care of the problem as soon as they were made aware. I will stay here again, even though the rooms are a little small. Good breakfast buffet!

A great place to stay
The location for the Imperial is great, close to both the Vesterport and Central train stations, Tivoli Gardens and not that far from the Stroget. They were very helpful and the hotel was beautiful and well-appointed. The only small difficulty we encountered was that the room we stayed in was in a newly constructed section, and we had to carry baggage up a couple of steps into the corridor on our floor.
