The hotel is in a good central location close to the highway and easy access to all. Lots of restaurants to choose from in the area. Great breakfast choices. Overall liked the hotel and would stay again.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Take a trip up to Jacksonville Beach its a quick drive. Want to make a day of it follows Highway 1 down the coast to St. Augustine - stop at the beaches along the way they are just like being in the Bahamas. Highway takes you right into the heart of St. Augustine which has great things to do.

The hotel was clean and was a great value for the money. It is near many restaurants and easy access to 95. Breakfast had a good variety of items.

Everything went fine from the Expedia reservation to staying at hotel. No surprises. Desk clerk recommended best Italian restaurant (Giuliano’s) with fantastic shrimp in shrimp scampi. Just down the street from the hotel.

Quiet and smoke free rooms. Clean and neat beds. Customer service and check in times were quick and very helpful. Free Wifi service, about 3-4x faster than dialup. The breakfast had sausage, eggs, donuts, toast and a wide variety of cereals. Towels were soft. Our room had a fridge and microwave!

The room was more than your typical boxed-in hotel room, with a friendly staff and easy interstate access.

Not bad

I stayed from Thursday till Monday, and they didn’t clean my room on Saturday. Offered to move me but it was too much trouble. Front desk staff was good but the breakfast is a waste of time, but a reasonable place to stay

Good for a quick trip

If you ar planning a holiday this hotel is not for you. But if you are here on business or a quick trip, then this is the place. The staff is fabulous, warm and friendly. The bed is so comfortable and the sheets smell fresh. But the hotel leaves something to be desired as a whole. I guess I am used to hotels that are different. But this one gave what it promised.

Everyone who worked at the hotel was very pleasant and helpful, from the front desk to the maids. It is conviently located near where my son lives so I plan to be staying there again in the future.

A great place to rest

After driving all day, it was nice to have a friendly face at the check in. I had a couple requests, and they were taken care of immediately. I was on the ground floor and concerned about noise from the lobby, but it was perfect! No noise and then breakfast was right there outside my door. Thanks for great service!

Off the beaten path, but sure to please

The Comfort Suites in Baymeadows is just off the interstate in a somewhat industrial area. It’s in close proximity to restaurants and shopping in the area. The actual hotel was very clean and well maintained. My only beef if any, was the shower bar in the bathroom. It appeared as if someone attempted to drill the bar into the wall several times but wasn’t successful in having it leveled. Since this was one of those "extend" shower bars, which is supposed to have the effect of a wider, more spacious shower,the curtain did not extend all the out over the width of the bar, allowing water out onto the floor. After jury-rigging it a bit, it functioned fine.

There’s a great indian restaurant called the "5th Element" across and up the street from the hotel. Though there was a bit of wait, we had a great indian meal for under $30 including appetizers and alcohol.

Very comfortable stay, elevators a little slow but otherwise good solid Hotel.

Not a 3 star

The front counter and restaurant looks and has the feeling of a 3 to 4 star hotel. However the actual hotel looks and feels like a 2 star hotel. Entrances are on the outside of the building. the inside is small like most most 2 star hotels in Florida. Service was good and any problems I had was dealt with quickly. If you stay in hotels for a living I do not recommend this location

Everything fine, except.......

Hotel fine, only thing was that on this business trip I did not get my wake up call. Missed breakfast but made it to my appointment. My second visit, I will go back. Room good, clean, etc.

Good value. Gentleman at front desk was wonderful!! Busy & absolutely patient. Good location of interstate with lots of food choices nearby.

We would stay again

We enjoyed a week in Jacksonville. The breakfast was better than the average continental breakfast (hot eggs and sausage, fresh waffles, plus lots of the usual stuff). And if you miss the free breakfast, The Waffle House is across the street and open 24 hours. The hall ways smelled very moldy and gross, and was not air conditioned. But the room was fine. We used the pool, but there was no shade. There were tables and chairs, but no umbrellas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived after midnight and had no problems checking in late. Free parking and local calls. We got a very reasonable room rate because we bought a package that included our airplane tickets, hotel and car. We would stay again.

I’d go back if I HAD to.

Convenient location, nice enough room, very quiet which is always nice. Customer service lacked! Desk staff did only what was necessary. At check out I got a lot of attitude from the clerk who tried to charge me a second time for my stay! Next trip I’ll try another hotel.

Allergy sufferers should avoid

Overall, I was pleased with the hotel; however, the air conditioning was not 100% and so the room had a damp musty smell to it most of the time. It did cause my allergies to flare a little bit, but nothing to cause me to need to check out. I was disappointed that after a 700-mile driving trip, that I couldn’t soak in a hot bath. The water supply apparently had been altered so that all the pressure went straight to the shower head and none into out the bottom of the faucet into the tub. Other than that, the service was excellent. I had fresh towels everyday, and my bed was turned down each evening when I returned. My 4-year-old son had scattered numerous bath toys all over the bathroom, and so housekeeping graciously corralled all of them and put them in a bag for us.
